-  As of 1700 hours Manila Time, Typhoon Gener has maintained its strength while moving north-northwest at a speed of 10kph, according to PAGASA. The typhoon was last observed 290km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

- "We have not done enough," said PH President Bongbong Marcos in his speech after hearing a girl's story about her harrowing experience at the Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Summit.

- Alice Guo's appearance at the Senate hearing tomorrow was allowed by Judge Elene Amigo-Amano of Valenzuela RTC Branch 282. Judge Amano will be the new one to handle Guo's two Graft cases after being transferred from Capas RTC due to the issue of Jurisdiction.

- Former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards arrives in court after admitting charges of making indecent images of children.

- Donald Trump survived the incident at his golf course. The FBI says the incident at Trump's golf course "appears to be" an assassination attempt and the suspect was shot by Secret Service agents who saw a rifle poking out of bushes.

- The first two episodes of Solo Leveling 2nd season will be featured in the Season 1 compilation film hitting theaters this November 29th. The 2nd season of the anime will air this January 2025.

- Bengals star receiver Ja'Marr Chase was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct in the fourth quarter of Cincinnati's 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs following an interaction that officials said crossed the line.

- Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson became the first player in WNBA history to hit the 1,000-point mark for a season in the Aces' 84-71 victory over Connecticut.

- GMA-7 cooking variety show Sarap Di Ba? will end broadcast by October 2024, according to reports.

- Meet the winners of the 2024 Emmy Awards.

- Jackson 5 member Tito Jackson passed away at the age of 70.

2024 NASCAR Cup Series - Go Bowling at The Glen

The fight for the Final 12 in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs continues this weekend at Watkins Glen International in New York for the Go Bowling at The Glen. Joey Logano earned his spot in the playoffs at Atlanta. Who will be next to qualify?

As the green flag waved, Part 2 of 3 of the fight for the Final 12 in New York begins with a disaster when Kyle Busch spins in the inner loop after contact with Corey LaJoie. As Martin Truex Jr. won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw Daniel Suarez spinning in turn 6 on Lap 38, and with Ross Chastain winning Stage 2, the final stage saw Denny Hamlin crash on Lap 47 following a NASCAR sandwich with Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski, debris from Harrison Burton on Lap 80, and four laps later, disaster for Brad Keselowski and William Byron, triggering overtime.

Sadly, no playoff contender secured a spot in the playoffs after the Go Bowling at The Glen race. The winner was Chris Buescher, who is not a playoff contender.

NTT IndyCar Series 2024 - Big Machine Music City Grand Prix

Is Alex Palou the 2024 season winner? The final race of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series, the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix in Nashville Superspeedway will decide if Palou is this season's champion or not.

As the green flag waved, the final race of the 2024 season commenced and Josef Newgarden's making bold moves against Kyle Kirkwood on the opening laps. As Will Power's title fight got jeopardized due to problems with his lap belts on Lap 13, caution was triggered on Lap 56 when Felix Rosenqvist collided with the wall following a loose left front tire.

Lap 68 restart, with Newgarden leading, Colton Herta is on the hunt. Lap 89 saw Katherine Legge slip off the track, triggering the second caution of the race. Come Lap 135, Marcus Ericsson collided with the wall.

As the race restarted on Lap 147, Pato O'Ward was leading while David Malukas and Josef Newgarden were hunting him down. With the race having five laps to go, Colton Herta slipped into the lead.

In the final race of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series, Colton Herta won the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, followed by Pato O'Ward and Josef Newgarden. However, despite finishing in 11th place, Alex Palou was crowned the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series champion, his third title.

F1 2024: Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix

The streets of Baku, Azerbaijan are the next stop for the F1 2024 with the Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix as part of this month's street-racing double-header. In this race, Ollie Bearman returns to fill in Kevin Magnussen's seat as Magnussen is serving a one-race ban following his incident in Monza.

Max Verstappen is still in the lead, but Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc are closing in. The title fight is now too close to call.

As the lights went off, the action in Baku was on. Charles Leclerc holds off Oscar Piastri for the lead and both Red Bull drivers gaining positions. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton made a milestone in Baku as he raced 100,000 kilometers across his career. As the current season leader Verstappen is struggling, the race's midway point became a clash between Piastri, Leclerc, and Sergio Perez. As Piastri maintains his lead as the climax draws near, the clash between Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz on Lap 50 ended in a horrific collision, triggering a safety car as the final lap approached.

McLaren is now leading the Constructors Championship for the first time in a decade. This follows Oscar Piastri's recent win in the chaotic Baku endgame. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished 2nd and Mercedes-AMG's George Russell finished 3rd.

The next race on the Formula One calendar is the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. It will be held on September 22, 2024.

FIA WEC S12 - 6 Hours of Fuji

The 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship continues at Fuji Speedway with the 6 Hours of Fuji endurance race. This race is usually dominated by Toyota, but with Porsche leading the standings, it looks like the tables have turned. Will Porsche be able to maintain its lead, or will Toyota regain its dominance on home turf?

Following Toyota Gazoo Racing's heartbreak on its home turf, the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 emerged victorious while BMW and Alpine took podium finishes for the first time on Japanese soil. The #54 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 made its debut win in the LMGT3 class.

The FIA WEC S12 finale is the BAPCO Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, which takes place on October 31st. The #12 Hertz Team JOTA leads the Hypercar class, and #92 Manthey PureRxcing leads the LMGT3 class. Will these teams claim the titles? Tune in to find out!

2024 Repco Supercars Championship - Penrite Oil Sandown 500

The Red Bull Ampol team won the top two spots in the chaotic Sandown endurance race. Will Brown and Scott Pye in the #87 car held off Broc Feeney and Jamie Whincup in the #88 Camaro. The #31 PremiAir Bulon Racing Camaro driven by James Goldin and David Russell came in third.

The Repco Bathurst 1000 is the most important race of the Supercars season. It will be held October 9-13, 2024.
