My FH5 Log: Schuppan? What Schuppan?!

So, how's your FH5 Hot Wheels adventure progressing? As told, your goal is to score lots of medals before advancing to the next rank.

Anyway, having reached the S1-Class rank following your success in A-Class challenges, you have the chance to drive an unknown machine from the 90s known as the Schuppan 962CR.

What is the Schuppan 962CR anyway? The Schuppan 962CR is what some called the road-legal version of the legendary Porsche 962, one of the most successful Group C racing prototypes ever built. Vern Schuppan was known for winning the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Porsche 956 and his fondness for Porsches led him to the creation of the road-legal 962, which shares almost nothing in common with its Group C equivalent. Only six of these were made before the company shuttered its doors for good.

The Schuppan 962CR is powered by a 3.3L Twin Turbo flat-six engine that produces 550 horsepower at low boost and up to 850 for qualification use while running only on race fuel, which is unheard of for a road-legal vehicle like this in the 90s.

Having familiarized myself with the Schuppan 962CR's story, it's time to give this unknown supercar a twist and shout through Forza's very own Hot Wheels playset, experiencing what's like to be inside the road-legal Group C racer. Roll the tape.

Not the best attempt I've done but it's a good thing it survived.

The Schuppan 962CR may be a failed experiment crafted by a successful racing driver but it's proof that the 90s delivered us some crazy supercars like this. Such uniqueness must not be overlooked and this car deserves a lot of appreciation it needs.

Experience the 962CR by yourself in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Expansion.

My FH5 Log: The Extreme Collaboration (PART 4)

Here we are, the final batch of the Extreme E vehicles have arrived in Forza Horizon 5's Series 10 Hot Season Playlist as prizes and now that I got my hands on the final two vehicles, let's get to know them.

First up, it's the #125 vehicle driven by the ABT CUPRA XE team. ABT's involvement in DTM and ABB Formula E pushed them to create an Extreme E team in collaboration with Cupra, a sporty Spanish brand from the Volkswagen Group with an ambition for electrification. The team hired a Qatari driver named Nasser Al Attiyah and Jutta Kleinschmidtm, the first female Dakar Rally winner in 2001.

The last one and obviously the best one is the #6 car driven by the Rosberg X Racing team, the team that won the inaugural season last year. Spearheaded by 2016 Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, RXR is the evolution of Team Rosberg, founded in 1994 by his father and 1982 F1 World Champion Keke Rosberg. With Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky and three-time World RX champion Johan Kristoffersson, RXR is a force of nature to be reckoned with.

With their quick introductions done, it's time to give the final batch of Extreme E vehicles a quick drive through the Mexican dirt, celebrating the completion of this wonderful collaboration. Roll the tapes!

A job well done to these two machines!

So, now that I've completed the entire Extreme E Season 2 collection in the game, it's time for one last hurrah, and with that...

It's time to give Extreme E's first champion car for a wild ride at the Hot Wheels Park. This should be great because these two icons have never been together...until now.

It's time to deliver the message to both Hot Wheels and Extreme E that they should make Hot Wheels Extreme E toy cars for speedo boys of all ages to enjoy. Sounds outlandish to me but I have a better way to spread the message; give the championship-winning offroader a wild ride on a massive Hot Wheels playset. Strap on, guys, because it's time to blow this joint.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

At last, the Extreme collaboration is behind us, and congratulations to all those who have completed the entire Extreme E Season 2 vehicle collection. By the thick of it, I think the Extreme E franchise should make their own video game but thanks to Forza Horizon 5, feels like we don't need one...at least for now.

With this collaboration between Forza and Extreme E, let's hope they'll continue this awesome partnership for future Horizon adventures to come. Until then, let's enjoy driving our favorite Extreme E heroes in both Mexico and Hot Wheels Park. After all, this is Horizon and the adventure never ends.

This is the end of the FH5 Extreme E collaboration event but the adventure continues...

The National Ending of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano

For almost seven years, spanning three administrations, over a thousand episodes, and not to mention the endurance this show faced amid the pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano became a milestone in the history of Philippine television as it shot down Pinoy TV legends such as Valiente to become the longest-running TV drama in Philippine television.

From the prologue that depicts the tale of a policeman named Ador De Leon, who got killed in the line of duty, to the real beginning of the story that centers on Ricardo Dalisay, a province man who was sent by the government to fulfill his slain brother's duty, only to become a never-ending fight against crime and terrorism that plagued the Philippines, this TV series made the character played by Coco Martin been through several life-or-death situations in the never-ending war on terror.

Policeman, prisoner, fugitive, rebel, vigilante, soldier, hero, patriot. These daring situations made Cardo the patriot he became and in the National Ending of the hit TV series, this is Probinsyano at its dramatic peak.

Following the death of several members of Task Force Agila as well as Renato Hipolito's hitmen, the remaining members of the team, including him, President Oscar Hidalgo, and General Diana Olegario are forced to retreat while swarms of terrorists led by Renato Hipolito are on the offense.

Outnumbered, General Olegario told Cardo to escort the President to safety while she and the other Agila members sealed their fates by the terrorists. As Cardo and the President split, the former single-handedly killed terrorists until he got critically injured by Hipolito and his men. By surprise, the President killed Hipolito and his men while reinforcements arrived to mop up the rest.

After the decisive battle, the President delivered his message to the fallen soldiers while Cardo's in the hospital, alive and well. Being the last member of Task Force Agila to survive the final battle, there's more heartbreak as his relatives appeared to tell him that his grandmother Flora (played by the late Susan Roces) died.

After mourning the loss of Lola Flora, Cardo was summoned by President Hidalgo to receive the medal of honor from him. When the President asked him to reform Task Force Agila, Cardo refused as he told the President that he should be going back to the province for his new beginnings but thanked the President for the help.

As Cardo and his relatives are back in the province for their new beginnings, President Hidalgo and Rowela got married. The series ends with Cardo fatefully reunited with Mara, played by Julia Montes.

Ang Probinsyano ending

Almost seven years of combatting terrorism and avenging his friends and families led to this. The national ending the whole Philippines witnessed and it's about freaking time the longest-running TV drama in Philippine history came to an end.

It's a good thing Filipinos worldwide found some relevance in this show and looks like they're living in a post-Probinsyano life with some showing some stages of post-Probinsyano grief as some would say.

Although the series has ended, the legacy lives on as FPJ's Ang Probinsyano has cemented its mark on the history of Philippine TV. Despite the ongoing pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown, it's proof that nothing can stop Ang Probinsyano until the very end. It may be a work of fiction but this show will serve as an inspiration for all Filipinos who want to be just like Cardo Dalisay, the patriot.

Thank you, FPJ's ANG PROBINSYANO!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
