Easter Sunday 2022 marked the beginning of the 2022 season of the Autobacs Super GT and this season marked the debut of the new Nissan Z GT500 racing machines based on the upcoming Nissan Fairlady Z RZ34 sports car as well as the Honda NSX Type S GT500 racing machines based on the final versions of the Honda/Acura NSX sportscars.

The first round of the Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series is set in Okayama, giving these new GT500 machines a chance to flex their Japanese muscles in a real motoring combat JDM fanatics glued their eyes for.

Doctor Who 2022 Special 2

The second of the trio of Doctor Who specials, the Jodie Whitaker specials, brought back one of the most formidable foes in Doctor Who history as The Doctor and friends venture through 19th-century Chinese waters in search of a mysterious pirate treasure while making uneasy alliances to outsmart the Sea Devils.

Doctor Who 2022 Special:
Legend of the Sea Devils

No time for lengthy spoilers, as promised, because it's time for some quick impression about this second Jodie Whitaker special. The Sea Devils may be new for modern Whovians but for veteran Whovians who enjoyed both classic and modern DW adventures, the return of those formidable amphibious warrior reptiles, first seen on TV in 1972,  is a clear reminder of what classic Who monsters need to make a comeback in the modern Who era and this is it.

With the Sea Devils returned in the modern Who adventures after five decades, seeing The Doctor and friends going treasure-hunting in 19th-century Chinese waters is something The Doctor hasn't done before, although getting involved with pirates is nothing new for our favorite Time Lord. Uneasy alliances, shocking twists, daring decisions, and the return of the "Geronimo" dialogue, this is what the Legend of the Sea Devils is all about.

With The Doctor and friends' pirate adventure against the return of the amphibious warrior reptiles done, the final of the trio of Doctor Who specials, airing this Autumn 2022, will mark the end of the 13th. With a mob of villains gathered and surprising comebacks of DW favorites, expect the 13th Doctor's final journey to be astronomical.

So, are you ready for The End of...The Doctor?

At the Sakura-Con 2022

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Pacific Northwest's biggest anime convention known as the Sakura-Con returns for its 2022 version, its 25th year. Celebrating the convention's silver anniversary, the 2022 Sakura-Con event, held at Washington State Convention Center from the 15th to the 17th of April, 2022, is packed with panels, guest celebs, and announcements otakus of the Pacific Northwest are bracing for.

Just to let you know, this year's convention is complying with COVID health and safety protocols, meaning masks are required before entering the event as well as proof of vaccination.

I've managed to snap a few photos from this year's convention, just to give you a glimpse of what's like to be back in the Con after a two-year hiatus.

My FH5 Log: 765 Millionth Star

The McLaren 720S is the current evolution of the Super Series, the series that has been around since the 12C, the very first McLaren they've made after the divorce between McLaren and Mercedes-Benz. With its challenging but cutting-edge, motorsport-inspired dynamics, the 720S sure knows the true meaning of respect from those who treat it right.

However, those who demand more respect than the normal 720S should consider its pumped-up version, the 765LT, the prize car that can be obtained from the FH5 Series 6 Storm Season Playlist.

So, what's it all about the McLaren 765LT, you may ask?

The McLaren 765LT is the third Longtail model unveiled since the 650S-based 675LT and the 570S-based 600LT. It's the most potent Longtail ever built as it incorporates most of the know-how from McLaren's motorsport experience and features an upgraded version of the 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine producing 755HP of power and 590ft-lb of torque. Mated to a double-clutch gearbox, it does 0-60mph in less than three seconds. Because of its 1,229kg dry weight courtesy of its extensive carbon fiber use, it has a power-to-weight ratio of 622PS per tonne, beating rivals by over 50PS per tonne. Apart from that, the 765LT features a hydraulically actuated rear wing with three main operational positions; Driver Downforce, DRS, and High-Speed Braking.

How does it compare to the 720S? The 765LT is more potent and crazier to drive compared to the 720S and because it delivers so much power, it takes an expert to handle this monster machine like a boss. Call it a road-legal track toy but it's definitely more than that because the 765LT pushes the definition of what makes a McLaren, well, a McLaren.

To test this notion, it's time to give the 765LT a moment it will never forget and with that, it's a leisurely street race against the best hypercars gathered in the Mexican desert. Hold on to your seats, folks, because it's going to be a crazy ride. Roll the tape.

The craziest moment pulled by a potent McLaren. Makes you want to do it again, huh?

The 765LT demonstrated to the world what happens when you turn the already crazy-but-wonderful 720S into the ultimate expression of the Super Series that possesses motorsport levels of fun and excitement on the open road. It may be a track toy but it's road legal and that's how McLaren rocks.

Enjoy your new ride!
