Peter Rabbit (2018 film)

Peter Rabbit is one of Beatrix Porter's critically acclaimed children's books masterpiece that once spawned a Nick Jr. TV show years ago and if we think we are all familiar with this cute little rabbit, then think again! This film adaptation of a children's classic goes to the other direction as Peter Rabbit mimics the antics of Home Alone's Kevin just to show someone who's the boss.

Peter Rabbit

In the 2018 hybrid live action-3D CGI film based on a Beatrix Porter masterpiece, Peter Rabbit strips down his innocent nature and goes nuts with this hilarious family movie as he's on a tug of war against Mr. McGregor, played by Domhnall Gleeson, over a young woman, played by Rose Byrne, who lies next door. It features an all-star cast of comedian and late night showman James Corden, Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley, lending their voices to the main characters of the film.

Well, like I said, this is unlike the Peter Rabbit the world's familiar with because this fresh new take on a children's classic really is like a cat-and-mouse chase that never ends like the ones we're familiar with until only one gives up the fight. Still, the rivalry between Peter Rabbit and Mr. McGregor never ends, wouldn't they? Still, it's mad to call this film "cute" because they don't take "cuteness" for an answer and they're not going to one-up against another take of a British classic we are familiar with. No, the whole point of this film is to see the cool side of a children's classic and defining cool, Peter Rabbit's got all the strides of a wacky family comedy film that blows an epic spit take with its unique sense of humor not even the original Peter Rabbit couldn't imagine it.

Once they labeled this Peter Rabbit film as "cute", then this film is too idiotic for me even though they mimic the traps from the Home Alone movies.

My rating: 3.4 out of 5.

The 15:17 to Paris

It was the late summer of 2015 in France, which became the hotbed for terrorist attacks ever since the Charlie Hebdo attack, when a noteworthy of Americans managed to subdue a gunman while the train arrives from Amsterdam to Paris. They were rewarded for their bravery with the Legion d'Honneur from the then-President Francois Hollande. That story became memorable in these darkest of times and this biopic explains the untold story of the men who became heroes in times like these.

The 15:17 to Paris

The 15:17 to Paris is an intriguing but powerful biopic film that centers on the lives of three men; an off-duty US airman, Spencer Stone, a US National Guard Alek Skarlatos, and a student named Anthony Sadler, whose efforts to foiled a terrorist attack on a Paris-bound train became known the world over. This film gives viewers a glimpse of who are these men from the struggles of their childhood and leads up to that fateful moment they've became heroes. It centers on the theme of friendship, which is their greatest weapon that trumped against all odds and this biopic is something worth watching for and we can all learn something from the heroes depicted on this film.

Watching this film gives viewers a clear perspective on who are these three men are even though they are familiar with those names from the news a few years ago and it's been an honor for someone to make a biopic about these three just so they can get to know about them from a whole new approach. Learning from this film, The 15:17 to Paris puts cooperation first before themselves and by working together, we can accomplish everything as demonstrated by this powerful film about three heroes who stopped an attacker from attempting a terrorist attack. This is something the whole world should be watching.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5.

Fifty Shades Freed

The steamy saga that rocked millions of readers worldwide has reached its fiery conclusion as Fifty Shades Freed is the gripping conclusion that delivers a pulse-pounding suspense to the life and times of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Fifty Shades Freed

Set after the events from the last two installments of the Fifty Shades trilogy, this steamy and scandalous finale to the trilogy highlights Christian and Ana (played by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson), now a married couple, as they had everything they need in their world; love, passion, intimacy, and wealth. They should have get the happily ever after they truly deserve but that's not what was supposed to be because all of their successes come with a hefty price to pay as Ana and Christian's deepest darkest fears turn into reality.

The conclusion really is a steamy and scandalous experience for those who had enough for those cheesy romantic flicks this Valentines season and with all that intense, erotic psychological thrills in store, it really is the ideal film for the quiet movie date night even for couples and those who are catching up to the Fifty Shades saga. If by catching up, you should because before you see the conclusion, you need to see the first two first before setting off to watch the intense finale to the story of Ana and Christian. If you do, you are ready to give in to temptation of something blue or the forbidden fruit that spirals them out of control.

The conclusion of the Fifty Shades saga really is as savage as a spinout and as sexy as the previous two so if you got the urge for something steamy, sexy, and savage, you should witness the finale to see how the two unfolds.

My rating: 4.1 out of 5.

The 2018 Winter Olympics at PyeongChang, South Korea, has finally begun and despite concerns about what's happening now in South Korea, the Games has begun as they planned.

Flagbearers for the 91 National Olympic Committees and the Olympic Athlete from Russia delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Games and in a midst display of Korean culture from the past and the present as seen by the mass audience gathered at the host city's Olympic Stadium, it's a rare opportunity to see the two Koreas going together under their unified Korean flag, a sign that there is hope between the North and the South, torn between endless conflicts and repressive regimes year after year.

With the historic opening ceremony wrapped up, the Games truly begun as for the next 16 days, competitors across the globe will compete in 15 sports and 102 medal events. Welcome to PyeongChang 2018!

A North Korean private jet carrying a group of high-level officials including Kim Yo-jong landed in South Korea earlier today.

They have since arrived in PyeongChang and the North's nominal head of state Kim Yong-nam is currently attending the Pre-Opening Ceremony Reception hosted by South Korean President Moon Jae-In.

While Kim Yo-jong is not attending the reception tonight, President Moon is set to have a luncheon with the North Korean delegation on Saturday.
