As Daytona continues to heat up in the dead of the race, how about a little re-enactment from a certain Top Gear episode about Chris Harris driving the Ferrari FXX K round Daytona? I know, with the next season of Top Gear on the horizon, it would be the perfect time to reenact stuff as seen from the previous season.
But first, to understand more about the FXX K, I need to go to the Top Gear Track to see what's what about Ferrari's extreme track toy.
It's no wonder why Ferrari gave their LaFerrari-based racer a cursed word because by the time drivers experienced the vicious power of this Prancing Horse, this cursed word in question will always come out from their mouth, especially someone riding shotgun with it. With the LaFerrari-derived powertrain improved for this car and the cutting-edge aerodynamics that is too extreme to be called a racecar, the FXX K really is a million-dollar toy for the brave and the bold drivers who wanted to experience that kind of rollercoaster ride like when my grandma awaken to the thrill of becoming the hero of a Smithsonian thriller in a Mad Max-esque outfit. Now that's wild.
Speaking of wild, I did a little digging just to show how the FXX K is done and while in a middle of my Top Gear Track session, I tried beating the real-world lap time set by Schumi in its predecessor, the FXX in 1:10.7, and while trying to beat the clock, I got the impression that aerodynamics really played a key part in the FXX K, not the raw power itself because with capabilities too extreme to be called a racecar, you'd better be prepared for the inevitable in case the FXX K has gone nuts. Anyway, let's roll the tape.
After a hot lap round the Top Gear Track, I did it in 1:09.880, which is amazingly almost a second quicker than its predecessor that Michael Schumacher set in real life. It's incredible that Ferrari made a track toy that can outpace its predecessor in a heartbeat. So, with that done, let's go back to Daytona so I can savor the moment with the FXX K.
Back in the Season 24 opener of Top Gear, Chris Harris managed to get a taste of what is like to be driving the Ferrari FXX K and he was impressed about how wild it performs and man, you got to love the KERS mode where you can use all of the power from the engine-electric motor combo. Anyway, no time for sentimental steps, it's time to drive the FXX K like it's the last lap for the day.
The FXX K is pointless as a car because it's too extreme for both road and track but it doesn't really have to because with this car, you are part of the most prestigious club of all with the last member-only benefit you can't get enough of. It's great to be part with Ferrari's ultimate track toy and I'm going to savor this very moment.

Project CARS 2: Driving with a Daytona legend
The Daytona International Speedway is reopening their doors for this weekend's endurance race and to celebrate the very occasion, how about taking a ride with one of the most legendary Daytona champions in history and this one is something Japanese...
The legend in question is the Nissan Z32 Fairlady Z that nicked a class win at the 1994 Daytona 24 Hour race and because this is the one that achieved class win at the Daytona endurance race in 1994, now it will be the ideal time to talk about the car's resume, which is not bad for a race car that was based on the Z32 Nissan Fairlady Z (known in the world market as the 300ZX).
Known to be one of the most notable drivers in the history of the IMSA, Steve Millen drove the Z32 for Clayton Cunningham Racing from 1990 to 1995 and thanks to him, the Z32 ruled the GTO (later called GTS because of chassis and engine regulation changes) class of the IMSA but his the Z32's biggest shot of fame is its 24 Hours of Daytona victory in 1994 and then later in Le Mans where the Z32 nicked a GTS-1 class win. That's how legendary this machine is as well as its astonishing resume that made the Z32 worthy of having such motorsport pedigree, something that its modern successors never had in the first place.
Anyway, no time for getting overexcited about driving a champion car because driving in Daytona is serious business especially when you're taking on the endurance race happening this weekend. Driving the IMSA GTS-spec Z32 may be old-school but think of it like you're going home-schooling to learn about what to expect in Daytona International Speedway. There is no real secret to conquering this track; it's just hard work and discipline and if you're slacking off even when you're ahead, you're going to lose everything so it's important to pay attention not just the surroundings but the car itself because if its time for a change, it's time.
So, with that lesson done, how about a little clip of me taking a spin on a legendary racecar round Daytona? This should be good, it's like crossing out from one of my motoring bucket lists.
My time with the legendary IMSA GTS-spec Z32 Fairlady is almost up but the taste of what you can expect in Daytona this weekend is just the beginning because with different kinds of cars you might come across, the difference between a victory and defeat lies within you, the car, and the surroundings. So, to all the drivers out there spending their weekend at Daytona, I bid you good luck.

Monster Hunter World
CAPCOM's flagship role-playing game returns on the PS4 and for those who are familiar or new to the franchise, Monster Hunter World promises to be the biggest Monster Hunter adventure they'll ever play with new and exciting ways to get accommodated with the latest installment where like every Monster Hunter game everyone knows, hunting down the most powerful monsters ever feared and craft powerful equipment for your next monster hunting missions you'll ever face.
Available exclusively on the Playstation4, Monster Hunter World is the most immense installment of the Monster Hunter franchise and by immense, it really is because when you're playing this game on your PS4 Pro and your 4K Ultra HD TV, the graphics are breathtaking and livelier than ever before but don't get too amused over the graphics provided by this game because this is all hard work and it will take days or months before beating the game single-handed.
Before setting off, players can customize their own character and their own Palico (their Felyne companion) and when done, their monster hunting quest begins. For every good hunter comes a wide array of weapons to master and in this game, there are different unique weapon types to choose from. From close-range weapons to long-range ones like the slingers, there are different ways to master different kinds of weapons in the face of defeating monsters but bear in mind that some weapons might lose its sharpness every time you attack with them and it's recommended that you pack some whetstones to maintain its sharpness level. The more you know.
Now, what about surroundings? In Monster Hunter World, there are different surroundings you can explore and each area is packed with treats and threats you might encounter but sometimes, you might end up getting lost so that's why it's best to check the map before setting off but that's not enough to discover what lurks around the place you're setting foot. Fortunately, there is a Scoutfly somewhere and with the help of your little critters, it can detect monster tracks, items, even Slinger ammunition as well. They're useful when you're not in a middle of a combat.
Next, monsters, and no matter how big and small you might come across, you need to be prepared with a different strategy when facing off against these beasts. From small ones like the Jagras to monstrously big ones like the Anjanath, it takes a well-prepared hunter to vanquish these foes and if they did, they can take home some rewards that will be proven useful for their next mission. The monsters you defeated may drop some parts you need to craft powerful items such as weapons and armor and if you are itching for something you really want, hunt and hunt again until you completed the ingredients to create the ideal equipment for the job.
Defeating monsters by yourself sounds challenging but fun but playing this game with other players online is expensive but enjoyable if you're trying to get the most out of your Monster Hunter World experience. Yes, online multiplayer is expensive nowadays but if you can afford the subscription, you can enjoy this game with other people online because nothing's more stronger than teamwork.
To sum up, Monster Hunter World is a lengthy RPG game that takes a lot of manpower to conquer the game single-handed and because this game is all hard work, you're wasting precious time on the things that you love but as you get used to it, this game is very rewarding when you keep trying harder. That's what this game is all about so enjoy your newest monster hunting experience, hunters. You're going to need it.

THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: North Korea calls for unity with South as hockey players begin Olympics training
A delegation of North Korean officials and ice hockey players crossed the DMZ on Thursday for joint Olympics training, as Pyongyang called for all Koreans to seek unification of the two nations.
The group included 12 North Korean players who will form a combined women’s ice hockey team with their southern counterparts at next month’s Winter Olympics in the South Korean mountain resort of Pyeongchang.
The athletes were met in Jincheon with flowers from their South Korean counterparts, as well as head coach Sarah Murray, who previously had called the government’s decision to form a joint team a “tough situation.”
Under an agreement worked out during the first official talks between the two Koreas in two years, the joint team will wear unity jerseys and march under a unified peninsula flag at the Games’ opening ceremony on February 9.
South Korea has prepared “all contingency scenarios” in case North Korea makes any provocative moves during the Olympics, but the games remain an opportunity for “peaceful engagement,” South Korean foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha told Reuters in an interview on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “We just need to make the best of it.”
