Forza 4 Head to Head: Enzo vs. MC12

Hello again. Time for another showdown and this time, I could be comparing some sort of fraternal twins from Italy.

Fraternal Twins

I'm talking about the Enzo and the MC12. Sure, they are the finest achievements two Italian carmakers can ever think of. Both of these are more fun on the track but the feeling of owning and driving them in reality can be somewhat frustrating but I don't care. First off, let's start with the MC12...

Maserati MC12:

The MC12 from Maserati was used to compete in the FIA GT Championship and this was based on the Enzo Ferrari. The road-going version of the MC12 was produced in 2004 with 30 cars produced (five of which were not for sale). A further 25 were produced in 2005 making a total of 50 cars available for customers, each of which were pre-sold for €600,000.

It uses the same 6.0L V12 engine from the Enzo but it produces a maximum torque of 652 newton metres (481 lbf·ft) at 5500 rpm and a maximum power of 630 PS (460 kW; 620 hp) at 7500 rpm, while being mated with the Maserati Cambiocorsa semi-automatic transmission which has the final drive ratio of 4.10:1 and provides a shift time of just 150 milliseconds.

Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the MC12 on Top Gear and he disliked it more like the BiTurbo that he crushed. "Is it a racer? Is it a GT car? Is it a de-tuned Enzo in a fat suit? You can't really tell." he said but when handed to The Stig, it set a lap time of 1:18.9, 0.1 seconds faster than the Enzo Ferrari.

The MC12 crossed the line in 1:17.787

Enzo Ferrari:

The Enzo Ferrari was the ultimate Ferrari ever built in 2002 in celebration of Ferrari's 55th anniversary and it is limited to 399 units.

Originally, it supposed to be called the F60, in line with other anniversary models such as the F40 and the F50, but it was announced that before its launch, this car has to be named after the founder of Ferrari, ENZO FERRARI.

Designed by a Japanese named Ken (Kiyoyuki Okuyama), the Enzo was heavily influenced by its Formula One-style nose, providing better aerodynamics. Little known fact that Michael Schumacher was contributed for this car.

Powering the Enzo was its 6.0L V12 engine that generates 651HP of power and 484.8lb-ft of torque, armed with a semi-auto transmission called the F1-matic. Top speed is 350kph.

Jeremy Clarkson borrowed Nick Mason's Enzo for a review on Top Gear and when handed to The Stig, it set a lap time of 1:19.0.  The Enzo was one of the cars contributed for the challenge when James May tries to recreate the Top Gear theme song using car engines.

The Enzo Ferrari did it in 1:17.981, a few seconds slower than the...MC12(?)

Enzo's Time

Strange that despite the MC12 is somewhat a de-tuned Enzo in a fat suit, how can it be more quicker than the Enzo in terms of lap times? Doesn't matter though because what I'm driving those were works of art. The MC12 is all about being as delicate as a piano concerto but it takes skill to master the handling because such brutal speed may cost you more. The Enzo though, that is truly a knife-edge combatant I truly love about. Although both of these cars have no luxury equipment, the freedom to drive those cars are highly immense. I wanna drive one of these more than hanging on my last breath.

Hyundai Veloster's facing “Exploding” Sunroof problems

Hyundai Veloster Turbo

The NHTSA Office of Defect Investigation looking into eleven complaints from Hyundai Veloster owners saying that the sunroof's been blown off.

I was driving, making a left hand turn from a stop light and then heard a very loud bang! The sunroof above me shattered and fell all over me, the car, and outside,” said a Veloster owner who wrote a complaint to the NHTSA.

If found defective, Hyundai may issue a recall to those Veloster models regarding the sunroof problems.

Forza Motorsport 4: 2003 Porsche Carrera GT

Germany's hypercar

When it was produced in 2003, the Porshce Carrera GT is the most powerful Porsche ever made. Firstly, it was powered by a 5.7 litre V10 engine that generates 612 PS of power and Porsche claims that this can reach 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and has a maximum speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). The only transmission available was a 6-speed manual transmission.

The crank is only 98.5mm from the floor of the car and the reason why the crank is so low is because of its lightweight clutch that has two plates made from carbon fiber and silicon carbide. It weighs less than four bags of sugar. Also benefiting from its lightweight structure was its brakes that were made of silicon carbide.

Despite being lighter, the Carrera GT isn't an easy car to drive because of its brutal clutch, savage power, and knife-edge handling but if you take time putting the effort to master the Carrera GT, this is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the Carrera GT on Top Gear and when handed to the Stig, the Carrera GT lapped the Top Gear track in 1:19.8, faster than the McLaren Mercedes SLR.

In Jeremy Clarkson's 2004 DVD, Hot Metal, both the Mercedes SLR McLaren and the Porsche Carrera GT were put into comparison and the SLR is faster than the Carrera GT on the straights and the short section of the Top Gear Test Track.

Production of the Carrera GT ended in 2007 with 1,270 produced.

The one-off LFA Spyder

Back in January 2012, at the D1GP Drift demonstration at the Tokyo Auto Salon, there was a mysterious LFA convertible out in the open. That really shocked the world how the heck a convertible version of the Lexus LFA showed up in the open.

Source: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/01/lexus-lfa-roadster-appears-at-d1gp-kick.html

A couple of months later, the mystery LFA convertible showed up again and this time at Suzuka Circuit's 50th anniversary celebration...

Source: http://lexusenthusiast.com/2012/09/03/lexus-lfa-roadster-spotted-again-in-japan/

Toyota Motor Corporation told that this LFA Spyder is a one-off. There is only one of its kind. That's it. And to prove, here's a clip from Jay Leno's Garage with famed comedian Jay Leno flied to Japan to test the one-off LFA Spyder...

Let's Do The News! (October 5, 2012)

2013 Nissan Latio

Do it properly? Why?

Simple. Malaysia is a highly notorious country for modified cars because they love to turn everyday cars into lawbreaking criminals and get them wanted. This is somewhat MOST WANTED but Malaysian kind of way.

(audience laughing)

Anyway, let's do the news and big news this week because we just heard that the highly-criticized ANTI-CYBERCRIME LAW was now in effect despite protests from many.

So, what is this all about the Cybercrime Prevention Law?

On that law, signed by the President of the Philippines, this takes down piracy, file-sharing, cyber porn, or any other criminal-related activities done by the internet. Not only that, because of Senator Tito Sotto, this new law takes down libel in which any Facebook Like, Share or Twitter tweet may slam you on jail for about 12 years.

(huh?)

Wait, 12 years?

Yep. 12 years of imprisonment due to libel.

Yeah, perhaps I did the whole Doctor Who EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE thing in case I got caught by the cops because of this.

(audience laughing)

EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE? Sounds convincing because when you leave them a message, they might think that you've been either killed or busted by the cyber cops for Facebook or Twitter about libels. What about blogs?

Not safe. Even blogs can be affected to this whole anti-cyber libel stuff. Why? Why would they want to take away our freedom of speech? Is this the MARTIAL LAW of the 21st century?

Hey, better cool down because the heat's on us. Any fatal mistake and the coppers will get us locked down for 12 years.

(audience laughing)

Okay. Best to keep our cool down before the heat's up and became WANTED. NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED.

(audience laughing)

Anyway, you know the 21st Century Beetle, which is the modern take of the Beetle that no other game featured this latest version? Check out this convertible version...

2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

Same features as the normal model but now, the roof is softened so the wind blows through.

Not a bad car but it's not kinda good either.

Really?

Seriously. I've checked the 21st Century Beetle a few weeks ago and it seems that the glove compartment that got my hands tickled. Seems that I can't forget the moment when I first met it.

Ahem, it seems that the glove compartment's handle on the 21st Century Beetle really got the best of you, isn't it?

Inside the 21st Century Beetle

Yep. I really wish to have that one because of its glove compartment handle.

(audience laughing)

Hey, enough now. Anyone heard? It seems that most owners of the all new Toyota 86/Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ found out that they're complaining about engine stalls and rough idle...which is bad.

Huh?

86 & BRZ

But, most of these received good reviews by the press but what were the problems?

As told, owners are complaining about rough idle and stalling issues. Also, some say, that was caused by some software glitch. Software coding errors in the ECU-engine communication think that the engine is operating outside its “frozen” parameters and causes stalling or a rough idle as it tries, and apparently fails, to sort things out.

Whoa. That sounds a bit creepy...

Don't worry, they'll reprogram the ECU only if it's less than 100 miles or else, they'll have to replace it, which is costly.

Oh....

Aside from all these, there was an 86-dedicated forum received a hundred complaints about having their camshaft bearing, cam gears, actuators and cam position sensors changed. Seems that all the success do come with a price. Do you think it's time for a recall because of the problems faced by the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86, and Scion FR-S?

(audience laughing)

Caterham Superlight R600
2013 Caterham Superlight R600

Hey! What's this?

Oh, that's a Caterham Superlight R600.

The what?

CATERHAM R600!

Oh!

Caterham R600. The one comes with the supercharged 2-liter Ford Duratec engine that churns out 275 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. For the first time, the R600 is mated with a six-speed sequential gearbox and a Titan limited-slip differential.

(oooohh)

Also, there's going to be a one-make race series next year. Anyone interested, contact the people of Caterham at motorsports@caterham.co.uk. Oh, and be sure to have the R600 because this is needed for this one-make race series next year. Understood?

Anyway, it seems that it's finally official that F1 legend, Michael Schumacher, announced his retirement at the end of the Formula One 2012 season.

(awww)

I know. It's said to see Schumi go and filling his role will be Lewis Hamilton because next year, Lewis is now the Mercedes F1 driver. Interesting and very clever.

I'm going to miss Schumacher but I'll remember him for being the guy who said that he was The Stig on the Series 13 opener of Top Gear. Anyone remember? Michael Schumacher is The Stig?

(yes!)

BIG YES indeed.

image
BIG YES!

And on that non-libelous bombshell, that's the news. Anyway, for those who want a souvenir from The Angels Take Manhattan, there is an e-book available and it's called THE ANGEL'S KISS by Melody Malone.

THE ANGEL'S KISS

Melody Malone? Or better be River Song/Melody Pond. This e-book was inspired from THE ANGELS TAKE MANHATTAN episode, the one where Amy and Rory were killed by the Weeping Angel. I know, it was very sad and we piled a lot of tissue boxes to prepare for this tragic moment.

(audience laughing)

What to expect here is simple...THE DYING DETECTIVE, THE ANGELS TAKE MANHATTAN, THE SKINNY GUY, JULIUS GRAYLE, CALLING THE DOCTOR, THE ROMAN IN THE CELLAR, DEATH AT WINTER QUAY, and AMELIA'S LAST FAREWELL. These were on THE ANGEL'S KISS e-book available on your tablet, Kindle, or iPad.

What interests me is the one from the end of THE ANGELS TAKE MANHATTAN. It's called AFTERWORD by AMELIA WILLIAMS and this is somewhat a farewell letter to The Doctor and also, a very sad way to read it. What it also reads was this...

...There's a little girl waiting in the garden...

Nissan Latio N17

2013 Nissan Latio

This is what the fuss is all about. Sure it may be a compact sedan imported from Thailand but what this is, is part of the plan, well Nissan's Power 88 plan where they add every new model for the next six weeks up until fiscal year 2016. Anyway, no time for fussing about their master plan. Back to this compact car, anyway, as you can see, this is somewhat a different kind of compact sedan. In America, this is what they called the Versa. In China, they call it Sunny. In ASEAN and others, it's called the Almera. Here in Japan, they called it the Latio.

2013 Nissan Latio

With the Fit Aria from Honda axed in late 2008 and the Toyota Belta dead in the summer of 2012, the all-new Nissan Latio N17 is a class of its own. Yep, it's in a class of its own but underneath, it's just a Nissan March/Micra K13 because it uses the Nissan V Platform, which is a kind of platform applied on the K13 March and the latest Note E12. Also, the new Latio N17 carries the fuel-efficient HR12DE engine mated with the new-generation XTRONIC CVT and is equipped with an idling stop feature that turns off the engine when stopped at the red light and then starts again when you set off. Sure, the HR12DE produces 79PS of power but in terms of fuel efficiency, because this is classified as an eco-car, the N17 Latio/Almera/Sunny/Versa will keep going all the way to 22.6km/L based on Japan's JC08 test cycle. This is about as fuel-efficient as the eleventh-generation Toyota Corolla (Axio).

2013 Nissan Latio

Also, the inside of the new Latio does really look like the March because as I said, the all-new Nissan Latio N17 is just the sedan version of the Nissan March/Micra K13. So, am I gonna talk about the interior? Nah, let the owners decide.

2013 Nissan Latio

So, how can I sum this up? Well, the things I like about the Latio are its fuel efficiency, the front view, the HR12DE, and of course, the reasonable price because the Latio starts at 1,419,600 Japanese Yen or better yet convert this price to Thai Baht, Philippine Peso, Indonesian rupiah, Malaysian Ringgit or whatever means necessary. What I don't like about it is the rear view because it looks hideous and the interior looks similar to the March.

Malaysians, take note, if this arrives soon, please be careful about it. Sure, Malaysia is a very notorious country because of its reputation for "modified cars" (type that on your Google Trends and you'll see), I mean, if you want to have the so-called Nissan Latio/Tiida/Versa/Sunny/Almera, do it properly because, like most Japanese cars of today, it has a 180kph speedometer and converting it is proven "ILLEGAL" and a higher chance to "break the law".

Available Colors: Titanium Grey, Pure Black, Burning Red, Brilliant Silver, White, White Pearl.

PRICE LIST:

1.2 S - 1,419,600 Japanese Yen
1.2 X - 1,470,000 Japanese Yen
1.2 G - 1,698,900 Japanese Yen

What’s in our Car Town garage now? (October 5, 2012)

1950 Ford F-1

Every Ford F-Series truck has a beginning and this one really is the start of Ford's workman's workhorse. When it was produced in 1948 up until 1952, several kinds of Ford F-Series trucks were made such as the 1/2 ton F-1, 3/4 ton F-2, Heavy Duty 3/4 ton F-3, so on so forth. These F-series trucks were assembled at sixteen different Ford factories namely from Dearborn, Michigan, Edison, New Jersey, Long Beach, California, Norfolk Assembly (Norfolk, Virginia), St. Paul, Minnesota, St. Louis, Missouri, Hapeville, Georgia, and Highland Park, Michigan.

1950 Ford F-1

2012 Jaguar XKR-S

This is the only Jaguar that is permitted to the 300kph club because this is the most powerful Jaguar ever made. The secret lies to its supercharged 5.0L V8 engine that churns out 550PS of power and 625Nm of torque. Top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph) and this is the kind of Jag you would feel alive about it.

2012 Jaguar XKR-S

2007 Cadillac Escalade

When we think of a Cadillac, we thought that there are just luxury American cars made for the elderly wearing golf trousers but that image has been changed thanks to its Art & Science philosophy. The Escalade though, this changes everything because this SUV has been proven to be popular among VIP's, rappers, gangsters, celebrities, even car jackers as well. Most who owned an Escalade are nothing more than just expression of the BLING BLING trend and in fact, they spend massive amounts of money modifying their Escalades with oversized aftermarket rims, stereos at the back, VIP STYLE, DUB Magazine, whatever you may call it. The Escalade's reputation is all BLING BLING and all Rapper's Delight to those who owned and modify it.

Forza Motorsport 4: 1986 BMW M635CSi

This car has a fraternal twin, the M5

Introduced at the 1983 Frankfurt Motor Show and based on the E24 6-Series, the M635CSI (called M6 in the USA) uses the improved version of the six-cylinder engine that powered the BMW M1. It generates 286 PS (210 kW; 282 hp) of power and it was mated with a Getrag 280/5 five-speed manual gearbox.

In America, the M635CSi, or better known as the M6 back then, uses a catalyzed S38B35 motor engine which produces 256bhp of power, less than the Euro-spec ones to comply with North American emissions regulations.

This car was produced at BMW's Dingolfing plant from 1983 to 1989 with body shells sourced from Osnabruck-based Karmann works. Different versions of the M635CSi or M6 includes Two non-catalyst models for the European market (left-hand drive and right-hand drive), and three distinct catalyst versions for Europe, North America and Japan (all left-hand drive).

EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE

█████████████████████████████████████████████,
[CAPTION BLOCKED.] (ʀᴀ ɴᴏ. 10175)

Dear readers from the Philippines,

This is EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE. Readers, now listen. I know, I got that whole EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE idea from Doctor Who but because I heard that the whole Philippines noticed that the Anti-Cybercrime Law (R.A. No. 10175) goes into full effect as of now and there could only be one thing: we, bloggers are in grave danger and I mean fatal. I am dead, or I am jailed by the cops for blogging this for 12 years and that's okay. I hope it's a good imprisonment. But I promised to look after you and that's what I'm doing.

This whole Anti-Cybercrime Law that was signed by the President of the Philippines last month takes down cyber pornography, cyber fraud, file and torrent sharing, and other illegal criminal activities done by the internet. Thanks to Tito Sotto, this law also deals with the word "libel" which some say that any LIKE, TWEET, SHARE, or anything involved on libel could arrest you and be locked up in jail for 12 years. And I bet you’re fussing and moaning now. Typical. But just hold on and listen a bit more.

Emergency Program One means I’m facing an enemy that should never get their hands on my blog. So this is what you should do: let my blog die. Just let this worthless blog gather bugs. No one can access it, no one can even read it. Let it become a bogus blog site made by some worthless human being. And over the years, the world will move on and this blog will be buried. And if you want to remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all. One thing.

Have a good life. Do that for me, readers. Have a FANTASTIC life.

- Leopaul C. Del Rosario

Leopaul's Heaven and Hell: Why do parasites keep tailing my back?

As a techie who spent four years at blogging, I thought that blogging is all fun and games to me because I tend to discuss the latest and the hottest trends and share it to everyone in the world. However, blogging is NOT the easiest thing to do on the internet. First, you have to pick the right audience and then you have to pick the right article for them to read.

One of those things that drove me up the wall here on my blog are the parasites, pests, or vermins that keep attacking or infesting my blog, which is like a computer virus that if prolonged may cause some serious troubles.

Such examples to those pests who kept attacking not just my blog but my analytics were those pests who spent most of the time about car repairs. What is like when some piece of s*** trying to f**k me with queries like for instance replacement for some f****** timing thingy on his/her car, what are the problems of a new model, how to remove audio, engine knock, and the list goes on and on and on and on....

As I told for millions of times, my blog DOES NOT involve car repairs. Do I need to explain that for the million and one time? MY BLOG IS NOT INVOLVED ON CAR MAINTENANCE! Is it clear or do I need to repeat my statement for the 1,000,002th time?! You're making me as sick as hell. SICK AS HELL, you got me?!

Another thing that really irritates me is when idiots can't distinguish between a search engine and a chat box. What the idiots done is turning a search engine into a chat box or comment box and when I checked on my analytics, it was like "WHY DON'T YOU POST A COMMENT YOU LUMP OF S***?!!" This is happening all the time, I can see why there is not even a single comment in my post because they spent time turning Google into a comment or chat box. When will you learn how to post a comment on my site? Come on, it's not that hard!

Also, one such case is some ASEANs trying to obsess with a Japanese minivan that in reality is not available! A-holes...Those a**holes never learned do they? Big M********** a**holes! I'm very pity that why are these trends continue to harvest.

Don't you know what that means? Oh wait, if I post this one and if there's anyone offended, this could be EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE and yes, I really mean the Doctor Who kind of EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE. It means that we're in grave danger and I could die or I'm facing death right now but that's okay. EMERGENCY PROGRAM ONE means I'm facing an enemy that they should never ever get their hands on my blog. Whatever you do, let my blog die. Just let this worthless blog gather bugs. No one can access it, no one can even read it. Let it become a bogus blog site made by some worthless human being. And over the years, the world will move on and this blog will be buried. And if you want to remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all. One thing.

Do me a favor readers...Terms like car clubs, bikes, modified cars, car maintenance, tattoos, and anything irrelevant, they are NOT here. That's all. NOT HERE.

Have a fantastic life readers...
