FIA World RX 2024: World RX of Turkiye

Originally, the 2024 FIA World Rallycross Championship would have been held in China but for some reason, the finale was moved to Istanbul, Turkiye. Despite the sudden venue change, the final destination of this season's "Battle of Technologies" theme will decide whether Johan Kristofferson has the right to be crowned champion and prove that internal combustion RX cars are better than EV RX ones.

In the penultimate race day, Ole Christian Veiby is the winner followed by Niclas Gronholm and Kevin Hansen. The final day of the season delivered the biggest upset no one saw coming as Juha Rytkönen, the Finnish wild card, trumped the likes of RX giants Johan Kristofferson and Timmy Hansen.

Congratulations to Johan Kristofferson, the seven-time World RX champion. He proved that ICE RX cars are better than EV RX cars in the Battle of Technologies theme.

FIA World RX 2024: World RX of Portugal

The 2024 FIA World RX's "Battle of Technologies" continues in Montalegre for the World RX of Portugal. This is the penultimate venue of the season. With Johan Kristofferson leading, it's going to be smooth sailing for him.

Kristofferson won the first race, outrunning Niclas Gronholm and nabbing the checkered flag. Kevin Hansen finished in third place. In the final race, Kevin Hansen trumped Kristofferson, while his brother Timmy completed the podium with a third-place finish.

FIA World RX 2024: World RX of Benelux

The 2024 FIA World RX's "Battle of Technologies" continues in Spa-Francorchamps for the World RX of Benelux. The drivers are back to their usual rallycross action after the long summer and Olympic breaks.

The first part saw Timmy Hansen's winless streak vanquished after winning the race with Ole Christian Veiby in 2nd and his brother Kevin in 3rd. The final part, meanwhile, saw domination for Johan Kristofferson as he edged out Kevin and Veiby to wrap up the Belgian campaign. As expected, the ICE side leads over the EV side following Kristofferson's recent win.

The next event is the World RX of Portugal this September 7 to 8, 2024.

FIA World RX 2024: World RX of Hungary

As the world's eyes are glued on the Paris Olympics, the 2024 FIA World RX's Battle of Technologies continues with the Karai Trans World RX of Hungary.

The first part of the Nyirad action saw Niclas Gronholm survive through the chaos and win while Ole Christian Veiby finished 2nd and Janko Wieszt finished 3rd, a first podium finish for the Impossible RX Team driver. Meanwhile, the final part spelled redemption for Johan Kristoffersson as he defeated Veiby and Klara Andersson to wrap up the Hungary campaign. The ICE side leads over the EV side following Kristofferson's recent win.

The next event is the World RX of Benelux this August 17-18, 2024.

FIA World RX 2024: World RX of Sweden

The second half of 2024 is in full swing and the 2024 FIA World Rallycross Championship has begun. It's a clash between fully electric and internal-combustion RX cars and with new and returning faces joining in the clash, the opening salvo in Holjes, Sweden is the start of the power struggle.

Johan Kristofferson drew first blood by dominating the entire Sweden opener. The first saw him giving Klara Andersson heartbreak in the fight to victory lane while Gustav Bergstrom completed the podium with a 3rd place finish. The final part saw Kristofferson beating the likes of Niclas Gronholm and Ole Christian Veiby. With Kristofferson winning the first two races, the Battle of Technologies saw the internal combustion side gaining the upper hand.

The next event is the World RX of Hungary this July 27-28.

FIA World RX 2023: World RX of Hong Kong

Who will win the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship? The first-ever World RX of Hong Kong is the season finale that will decide once and for all who will be crowned this year's champion. Let's find out.

In the first part, Kevin Hansen became the first World RX driver to win the first-ever World RX of Hong Kong while Niclas Gronholm finished 2nd and Timo Scheider finished 3rd. In the final part, meanwhile, Johan Kristofferson is the winner while Ole Christian Veiby finished 2nd and Patrick O'Donovan finished 3rd.

With the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship officially over, Johan Kristofferson is crowned this season's champion having won five out of the seven races this season.

The 2023 season was shortened to seven races due to the fire at Brands Hatch last July that saw most of the Lancia Delta RX machines incinerated, causing a near-four-month void, but despite the worst, it did end according to plan with the first-ever World RX of Hong Kong that crowned Kristofferson the champion.

FIA World RX 2023: World RX of South Africa

After a near-four-month void following a fire incident in Brands Hatch last July that burnt the electric Delta RX machines, the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship is back with two venues left; South Africa and Hong Kong. The action continues in Killarney for the two-part World RX of South Africa as the title contenders; Johan Kristofferson, Niclas Gronholm, and Kevin Hansen, are trying to pick up the pieces after the summer hiatus.

The first part of their South African campaign saw Johan Kristofferson nailed his fourth win of the season, beating the likes of Kevin Hansen and Timo Scheider. However, in the second part, a reversal was done with Timo Scheider ending Kristofferson's undefeated streak of the season by winning his first World RX race while Kristofferson finished 3rd. Kevin Hansen finished 2nd.

After Killarney, Kristofferson remains in the lead with 107 points while Kevin Hansen is promoted to 2nd with 71 points and Timo Scheider is now at third with 68 points.

FIA World RX 2023: World RX of Sweden

After surviving through the Gates of Hell, it's "fire in the Holjes" as the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship continues in Holjes with the World RX of Sweden.

Johan Kristofferson nailed a three-win streak this season after winning the final round of the World RX of Sweden while Timmy Hansen finished 2nd and Ole Christian Veiby finished 3rd.

After Sweden, Kristofferson's in the lead with 69 points while Niclas Gronholm's in 2nd place with 42 points, and Kevin Hansen's in 3rd place with 38 points.

The next event of the 2023 FIA World RX Championship will be in Lydden Hill for the World RX of United Kingdom this July 22-23.

FIA World RX 2023: World RX of Norway

The 2023 season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship has descended to the Gates of Hell with the Hell RX, marking its 100th race in World RX history.

In what was known to be the 100th race in World RX history, Johan Kristoffersson reins in Hell, sweeping throughout the heat races, semi-finals, and the final round against Niclas Gronholm and Timo Scheider.

The next event of the 2023 FIA World RX Championship will be in Holjes for the World RX of Sweden this July 1-2.

FIA World RX 2023: World RX of Portugal

The electric rally monsters are back for their second outing as the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship kicked off in Montalegre for the World RX of Portugal. With rally legend Sebastien Loeb making a comeback in his electric-powered Lancia Delta RX car, this season is going to be worth talking about.

FIA World RX 2022: World RX of Germany

The Nurburgring GP Circuit is the final stop for the 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship with the World RX of Germany event and with Johan Kristofferson officially this season's champion, it's everybody's game now.

This season's champion, Johan Kristoffersson nicked his eighth victory of the season after taking down the likes of Niclas Gronholm and Timmy Hansen in the finals. With the season well and truly over, Johan Kristoffersson and the rest of Kristoffersson Motorsport are now officially champions of the 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

FIA World RX 2022: World RX of Catalunya

The 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship continues in Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the World RX of Catalunya and with Johan Kristofferson leading the championship standings, all eyes are on him as he's gunning for his fifth title.

The first part saw Timmy Hansen emerge victorious from the likes of Niclas Gronholm and Gustav Bergstrom but the final part saw Johan Kristofferson earn the right to become the five-time FIA World RX champion after beating the likes of Timmy Hansen and Ole Christian Veiby.

Kristofferson is officially this season's champion-elect but there's one final event of this season and it's the World RX of Germany at the Nurburgring GP Circuit this November 12-13. Don't miss it.

FIA World RX 2022: Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps

Spa-Francorchamps is the next stop of the electrified FIA World RX season with the two-part Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps. The dirty side of the Belgian Grand Prix venue was welcomed with the clean and dirty rallycross monsters ready to let the propulsion systems kick in Belgian dirt.

Two dirty Spa days occurred and Johan Kristofferson made headlines in Belgium as he swept through all the finals in the Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps with no drama whatsoever. With Kristofferson dominating Spa, he is now 131 points in the driver standings, 41 points ahead of Kevin Hansen, while Ole Christian Veiby's in third place with 89 points.

The next event of the FIA World RX 2022 season will be at Catalunya for the World RX of Catalunya this October 29-30.

FIA World RX 2022: Lusorecursos World RX of Portugal

The 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship continues in Montalegre for the two-part Lusorecursos World RX of Portugal as the rest of Montalegre welcomed the electric age of rallycross action with some intense thrills from start to finish.

The first part saw Johan Kristoffersson take down Ole Christian Veiby and Timmy Hansen for the win while the final part saw Niclas Gronholm snag his first win of the season after an intense fight against Veiby to the finish. Klara Andersson made history for being the first female rallycross driver with a podium finish on World RX after finishing 3rd.

After Portugal, Kristofferson's in the lead with 91 points while Veiby's in 2nd with 70 points and Timmy Hansen's in 3rd with 66 points.

The next event is another two-parter; it's the Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps this October 8-9.

FIA World RX 2022: Ferratum World RX of Riga-Latvia

The 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship continues in Riga for the Ferratum World RX of Riga-Latvia as the drivers are still getting accustomed to their electric RX machines as they try to impress the Latvian crowd by all means.

Johan Kristoffersson made headlines in Riga after sweeping through the entire race weekend with the first part seeing him outsmart the Hansen brothers, Kevin and Timmy, and the second part seeing him defeat the likes of Kevin Hansen and Ole Christian Veiby.

The next event is another two-parter; it's the Lusorecursos World RX of Portugal this September 17-18 at Montalegre.

FIA World RX 2022: Ramudden World RX of Norway

It's the dawn of the new era of the FIA World Rallycross Championship as the 2022 season welcomes the beginning of the electric era as all RX vehicles are powered by an electric powertrain that generates 500kW of power and 880Nm of torque.

The electric era of the FIA World Rallycross Championship kicked off in the real circle of Hell; Hell, Norway, that is, for the season opener titled Ramudden World RX of Norway.

In the Finals, Johan Kristoffersson draws first blood with the first win of the electric era while Timmy Hansen finished 2nd and homegrown hero Ole Christian Veiby finished 3rd.

The next event of the 2022 FIA World RX will be at Riga for the two-part Ferratum World RX of Riga-Latvia this September 3-4.

FIA World RX 2021: World RX of Germany

The Nurburgring GP Circuit is the final stop of the 2021 FIA World Rallycross Championship and with Timmy Hansen in the lead at 178, 17 points ahead of Johan Kristofferson, which of these two will be crowned the winner? Let's find out.

The first finals of the World RX of Germany saw Kristofferson overtake Timmy Hansen, narrowing the championship gap to just four points, 195 for Timmy vs. 191 for Kristofferson. It's still too close to call. However, in the final race of the season, it's official. Despite finishing 3rd while Timmy finished 2nd and Niclas Gronholm won the final race of the season, Kristofferson is crowned the 2021 World RX Champion.

Despite Kristofferson becoming the world champion, the Hansen World RX Team won the Teams' Champion.

Congratulations to Johan Kristofferson for winning the tightest title fight in World RX history!

FIA World RX 2021: Cooper Tires World RX of Montalegre

Portugal is the penultimate stop for the 2021 FIA World Rallycross Championship as the Cooper Tires World RX of Montalegre delivered some intense moments for the title fighters butting their heads as the climax draws near.

The Hansen brothers, Timmy and Kevin, Niclas Gronholm, Johan Kristofferson, Krisztian Szabo, and Enzo Ide fought their way from the qualifiers and the semi-finals for their coup de grace in the finals. As finals kicked in, Gronholm spoiled the Hansen sibling rivalry in the final lap because of the joker lap the Finn driver pulled it off and survived to the very end of the race to win the World RX of Montalegre.

With Gronholm named the winner, Timmy and Kevin Hansen finished 2nd and 3rd. After Montalegre, Timmy Hansen remains in the lead at 178, 17 points ahead of Kristofferson. Kevin Hansen, meanwhile, is in third place with 159 points. The results are too close to call.

FIA World RX 2021: Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps

The World RX drivers are having a Spa day, but it's not the Spa day they were expecting it to be but it involves a lot of mud bath for the cars as the FIA World RX 2021 continues for the Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps, a different kind of spa day the world awaits.

As expected, the Hansen brother rivalry has made it to the finals as well as the other Swedes Johan Kristofferson and Anton Marklund. Krisztian Szabo and Enzo Ide made it to the finals as well.

In the finals, Kristofferson won the Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps while Kevin Hansen finished 2nd and Szabo finished 3rd.

With Kristofferson's victory, he overtook Kevin Hansen to become 2nd in the championship standings with 12 points behind Timmy Hansen, 151 vs 139.

The next event will be the Cooper Tires World RX of Montalegre from the 16th to the 17th of October, 2021.

FIA World RX 2021: Ferratum World RX of Riga

The 2021 FIA World Rallycross Championship continues in Riga, Latvia, for the Ferratum World RX of Riga double-header, and if you are talking about the ongoing Hansen sibling rivalry that has been the main topic of this championship, well, sorry to disappoint.

In the first part of the Latvian double-header, Niclas Gronholm has emerged from a four-way fight to win the finals, beating the likes of the Hansen brothers with Timmy finished 2nd and Kevin finished 3rd. In the final part of the double-header, meanwhile, Johan Kristofferson nailed his first win of the season after fending off the likes of Gronholm and Timmy Hansen in the finals.

After Latvia, Timmy's ahead of Kevin Hansen with 17 points, 130 vs, 113, while Kristofferson's at third place with 110 points.
