Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series FINAL

Originally supposed to serve as the fifth round of the 2024 season before it got postponed due to weather, Suzuka Circuit serves as the ending to Super GT's 30th anniversary celebration and this final race will decide which team is the champion.

Wrapping up Super GT's 30th-anniversary celebration is the #36 au TOM'S GR Supra of Sho Tsuboi and Kenta Yamashita winning the final race of the 2024 season, earning it the right to be crowned the GT500 champion. The #100 Stanley Civic Type R-GT finished in 2nd place and the #3 Niterra Motul Z finished in 3rd place. 

In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #88 VENTENY Lamborghini GT3 not only won the final race but was crowned GT300 champion, while the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG finished in 2nd and the #2 muta RACING GR86 GT finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 8

Mobility Resort MOTEGI was originally meant to be the final destination for the AUTOBACS SUPER GT's 30th-anniversary celebration. However, because the Suzuka race was postponed to December, it became the penultimate destination for the 2024 season. However, that didn't stop the drivers from getting their last spurt to the title fight.

The #36 au TOM'S GR SUPRA won the Motegi round of the 2024 Super GT season while the #8 ARTA MUGEN CIVIC TYPE-R GT finished 2nd and the #38 KeePer CERUMO GR Supra finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #88 VENTENY Lamborghini GT3 is the winner while the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG finished 2nd and the #18 UPGARAGE NSX GT3 finished 3rd.

The postponed Round 5 of the Autobacs Super GT Series in Suzuka Circuit will be this December 8, 2024. Who will be the champion? Don't miss it!

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 7

Round 7 of the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series took place at the Autopolis circuit. Drivers endured three hours of intense driving action, during which even slight mistakes can have painful consequences for their title fight.

The #39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra trumped the two Zs, the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z, and the #3 Niterra MOTUL Z, to win the seventh round of this season. The GT300 class saw the #88 VENTENY Lamborghini Huracan GT3 emerge victorious while the #2 muta Racing GR86 GT finished 2nd and the #96 K-Tunes RC F GT3 finished 3rd.

After Round 7, the #36 car is leading in the GT500 class while the ##65 car leads the GT300 class.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 6

This AUTOBACS Super GT Series season has been exciting, but the fifth round in Suzuka has been postponed until December due to a typhoon. The series now moves on to Round 6 at Sportsland SUGO. Although fall is here, the on-track action is still hot.

The #37 Deloitte TOM'S GR Supra of Ukyo Sasahara and Giuliano Alesi wins the sixth round of the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series, beating the likes of the #38 KeePer CERUMO GR Supra and the #12 MARELLI IMPUL Z. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG of Naoya Gamou and Takuro Shinohara is the winner while the #45 PONOS FERRARI 296 finished 2nd and the #777 D'station Vantage GT3 finished 3rd.

The action continues in Autopolis for Round 7 on October 20th, 2024.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 4

The 2024 Autobacs Super GT season is still going strong! Round 4 took place recently at Fuji Speedway, and the action was spectacular. It may not get the same kind of attention as the Olympics, but I think it's even more exciting. There's nothing quite like the sound of a pack of GT500 and GT300 cars roaring around the track!

This race not only marked the new Honda Civic Type R GT500 machine's first win but also its first 1-2 finish with the #8 ARTA MUGEN CIVIC TYPE R-GT the winner and the #100 STANLEY CIVIC TYPE R-GT the second-placer. The #38 KeePer Cerumo GR Supra completes the podium with a third-place finish. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, it's a 1-2 finish for the Mercedes-AMG GT3 machines with the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG the winner and the fan-favorite #4 Good Smile Hatsune Miku AMG the second-placer. The #56 Realize Nissan Mechanic Challenge GT-R NISMO GT3 finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 3

As June begins, the third round of the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series is on as drivers survive three hours of intense racing action in Suzuka, whatever it takes to win.

The #37 Deloitte TOM'S GR Supra is the winner of this three-hour Suzuka enduro while the #14 ENEOS X PRIME GR Supra finished 2nd, and the #16 ARTA MUGEN CIVIC TYPE R-GT finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #777 D'station Vantage GT3, based on the recently-facelifted Aston Martin Vantage, is the winner. The #2 muta Racing GR86 GT finished 2nd, and the #6 UNI-ROBO BLUEGRASS FERRARI 296 GT3 finished 3rd.

The next race is at Fuji Speedway this August 4th.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 2

It's May the 4th, which is known as Star Wars Day and also the penultimate day of this year's Golden Week, and the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series with its second round in Fuji Speedway as the cars are wrapping up Golden Week with a golden opportunity of Super GT action.

A 1-2 finish for the Nissan Fairlady Z RZ34 GT500 cars with the #3 Niterra Motul Z the winner and the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z the second placer while the #17 Astemo CIVIC TYPE R-GT finished 3rd, the first podium finish for the new CIVIC TYPE R-GT racer. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #88 JLOC Lamborghini GT3 is the winner, while the #56 Realize Nissan Mechanic Challenge GT-R finished 2nd and the #52 Green Brave GR Supra GT finished 3rd.

The next round will be in Suzuka Circuit this June 2nd.

Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series Round 1

Super GT's 30th-anniversary celebrations have officially begun with the opening salvo of the 2024 season held in Okayama.

The 2024 season of the Autobacs Super GT Series marked the debut of the Honda Civic Type R Super GT machines that replaced the now-discontinued NSX Super GT predecessors as it prepares to clash against GT500-class machines based on the Toyota Supra and the Nissan Fairlady Z. 

The clash between the Civic Type R, the GR Supra, and the Fairlady Z became known as the most unexpected Super GT season in its 3-decade history.

The #36 au TOM'S GR Supra drew of Sho Tsuboi and Kenta Yamashita drew first blood with a win in Okayama while the #39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra finished 2nd and the #100 STANLEY CIVIC TYPE R-GT finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #2 muta Racing GR86 GT is the winner while the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG GT3 finished 2nd and the #7 Studie BMW M4 GT3 finished 3rd.

The next round of the Autobacs Super GT 2024 Series will be in Fuji Speedway this May 4th.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series FINAL

The Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series concludes in Mobility Resort Motegi (formerly Twin Ring Motegi) for the season finale and the final race marks the end of the NC1 NSX Super GT500-class racing machines as they're set to be replaced by the Honda Civic Type R FL5-based machines for the 2024 season.

The final 63 laps of the season are packed with intense overtakes and on-track drama for the drivers making their last spurt to this season's endgame.

With the season finale ended, the #36 au TOM'S GR Supra won the season finale, cementing its status as the Super GT 2023 Series Champion, Meanwhile, the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z finished 2nd, and the #17 Astemo NSX-GT bids farewell to the NSX-GT machines with a third-place finish. Not the fitting send-off to the NC1 NSX-GT machines as expected but it's enough.

Meanwhile, in the GT300 class, the #88 JLOC Lamborghini GT3 wins while the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG finished 2nd and the #6 DOBOT Audi R8 LMS finished 3rd. However, the GT300 champion goes to the #52 Saitama Toyopet GB GR Supra GT.

The Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series continues in Autopolis for the 7th and penultimate round of the season. As the end draws near, the action keeps on building for the drivers and cars on track.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series Round 6

The Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series continues in SUGO for its sixth round and this 84-lap thriller is proven to be...a thriller following a violent crash that triggered a red flag on Lap 40 for the #100 car. Amid the drama, it's one heck of a fight from start to finish.

The #8 ARTA MUGEN NSX-GT survived all the way and won in Sugo while the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z finished 2nd and the #39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, The #52 Saitama Toyopet GB GR Supra GT is the winner while the #20 Shade Racing GR86 GT finished 2nd and the #6 DOBOT Audi R8 LMS finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series Round 5

Suzuka Circuit is the next stop for the Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series and as summer draws to an end, the fun begins for the drivers tackling through the sacred ground of Japanese motorsports by all means.

The #16 ARTA MUGEN NSX-GT wins the fifth round of the 2023 season, the last season for the NSX racing machines as they're set to be replaced by the FL5 Civic Type R-based machines next year, while the #39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra finished 2nd, and the #14 ENEOS X PRIME GR Supra finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #18 UPGARAGE NSX GT3 wins while the #87 Bamboo Airways Lamborghini GT3 finished 2nd and the #61 SUBARU BRZ R&D SPORT finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series Round 4

After waiting for two months, the Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series returns to Fuji Speedway for its 4th round of the season, and this 100-lap race is hot and cold...literally.

From the #25 Supra caught fire to inclement weather that triggered the red flag, this 100-lap race truly is an edge-to-their-seat thriller from start to finish.

At the end of this 100-lap Fuji thriller, the #3 Niterra MOTUL Z survived through the odds and win the race while the #16 ARTA MUGEN NSX-GT finished 2nd and the #100 STANLEY NSX-GT finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #11 GAINER TANAX GT-R wins while the #7 Studie BMW M4 finished 2nd and the #6 DOBOT Audi R8 LMS finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series Round 3

The Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series continues in Suzuka Circuit for its third round of the season and things are really heating up as summer draws near.

The third round of the Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series in Suzuka is meant to be run on 77 laps until with 17 laps to go, the race came to a premature end as the #87 and the #23 car got involved in a horrifying crash. Thankfully, all drivers were safe.

As the race came to a premature end, the currently leading #3 Niterra MOTUL Z is named this race's winner while the #19 WedsSport ADVAN GR Supra finished 2nd, and the #36 au TOM'S GR Supra finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, the #7 Studie BMW M4 is the winner while the #2 muta Racing GR86 GT finished 2nd and the #52 SAITAMATOYOPET GB GR Supra GT in 3rd.

The next race is at Fuji Speedway this August 6th.

The Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series continues in Fuji Speedway for the second round and the Golden Week holiday's the golden opportunity for the drivers to use their golden time to fight their way to the top.

The #36 au TOM'S GR Supra dominated the 100-lap Golden Week Fuji showdown while the #100 STANLEY NSX-GT finished 2nd and the #17 Astemo NSX-GT finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, the #56 Realize Nissan Mechanic Challenge GT-R is the winner while the #2 muta Racing GR86 GT finished 2nd and the #52 Saitama Toyopet GB GR Supra GT finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series Round 1

The Autobacs Super GT returns for the 2023 season with the opening round at Okayama where new and returning faces clash with each other amid inclement weather.

As the race started, a sudden weather change occurred and the rainy weather conditions triggered two full course yellows, a safety car, and a red flag stoppage due to a lightning strike.

As the season opener came to a premature end due to inclement weather, the currently leading #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z of Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli was named the winner while the #18 UPGARAGE NSX GT3 wins the GT300 class for the first time in five years.

The next race of the Autobacs Super GT 2023 Series will be at Fuji Speedway this May 4th.

Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series FINAL

Mobility Resort Motegi is the final stop of the Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series. Drivers are gathered for the final time this season for the epic 63-lap thriller that will decide once and for all who will be this season's champions. With all of the thrills and drama involved, Motegi never felt so alive in this decisive race.

After a 63-lap winner, the #100 STANLEY NSX-GT wins the race,  while the #55 ARTA NSX GT3 wins the GT300 class, the good send-off to the NSX-powered machines as its road-car equivalent is ending production by year's end.

As the 2022 series has ended, the champion goes to the #12 Calsonic IMPUL Z, marking the first time an RZ34 Nissan Z GT500 machine earned a champion title. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #56 Realize Nissan Mechanic Challenge GT-R is crowned the champion.

The Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series continues in Autopolis for Round 7. The penultimate round of the season showcased the dramatic side of Super GT as the drivers are going all out in this 50-lap autumn attack on track.

After 50 laps of intense racing action in Autopolis, the #17 Astemo NSX-GT is the winner of this race while the #100 STANLEY NSX-GT finished 2nd and the #24 Realize corporation ADVAN Z finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #52 SAITAMATOYOPET GB GR Supra GT is the winner while the #61 SUBARU BRZ R&D SPORT finished 2nd and the #65 LEON PYRAMID AMG finished 3rd.

Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series Round 6

The Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series continues in Sportsland Sugo for Round 6. The show really did go on despite a powerful storm that struck some parts of Japan but this race is a real storm unleashed.

The #3 CRAFTSPORTS MOTUL Z emerged as the winner of this race while the #23 MOTUL AUTECH Z finished 2nd and the #16 Red Bull MOTUL MUGEN NSX-GT finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, the #2 muta Racing GR86 GT wins while the #11 GAINER TANAX GT-R finished 2nd and the #10 TANAX GAINER GT-R finished 3rd.

After Round 6, the #3 NDDP RACING leads the GT500 leaderboards with 68.5 points while the #12 TEAM IMPUL's in 2nd with 63 points and the #37 TGR TEAM KeePer TOM'S in 3rd with 51.5 points. In GT300 class, #56 KONDO RACING's in the lead with 62.5 points, and it's leading ahead of the two GAINER teams with the #10 in 2nd with 55.5 points and the #11 in 3rd with 48.5 points.

Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series Round 5

The Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series continues in Suzuka Circuit for Round 5. A fitting way for drivers to end the summer holidays with an intense 77-lap thriller that saw some drama involved while the drivers are cashing out on who will make it to the checkered flag first.

The #12 Calsonic IMPUL Z is named the winner of Round 5 while the #17 Asterno NSX-GT finished 2nd, and the #39 DENSO KOBELCO SARD GR Supra finished 3rd. In the GT300 class, meanwhile, it's the first win of the season for the #4 GOODSMILE Hatsune Miku AMG while the #10 TANAX GAINER GT-R finished 2nd and the #30 apr GR86 GT finished 3rd.

After Round 5, the #37 TGR TEAM KeePer TOM's is leading the GT500 leaderboard at a score of 41;5 points while the #56 KONDO RACING leads the GT300 class with 48.5 points.

The next race of the Autobacs Super GT 2022 Series will be at Sportsland Sugo this September 17-18.
