Porsche Panamera (972) v Taycan Minor Change

The only premium saloon in the Porsche stable, the Panamera, is now in its third generation and it's officially the best Panamera ever made by a narrow margin.

2025 Porsche Panamera
2025 Porsche Panamera

Starting at an ultra-expensive 110,900 Euros plus additional costs, the all-new third-generation Panamera is the Third Coming of Porsche's only luxury premium sedan that combines the first-class comfort and track-honed performance you would expect for a Porsche.

2025 Porsche Panamera
2025 Porsche Panamera

The design of the Panamera 972 is very similar to earlier models, but Porsche says that this new version was inspired by the electric Taycan. The all-electric Taycan is Porsche's only luxury premium sedan, and its influence can be seen in the design of the Panamera. I think this is an exciting development that shows that Porsche is moving forward with exciting, new models that will be part of their exciting future.

Now the range-topping Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, the most powerful Porsche Turbo, is the first to don the monochrome Porsche badge because it looks so cool. I think it's a great idea to put the badge on the most powerful version of the Porsche.

In contrast to its familiar looks, the interior is all-new for the 972. On the driver's side, it features a dual touch-screen display with the other one on the passenger side, which is of course an optional extra and it's only visible to whoever sits in the front passenger seat, not from the driver's seat to avoid distracted driving. Boo. On the plus side, the analog clock from the previous model is still here. On the top as usual. On the passenger side, it still has that out-on-the-limo feeling, and things get even more interesting if you go for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive with longer wheelbase and executive rear seats. Going first-class doesn't need to be a dull moment especially when you're in the all-new Porsche Panamera.

The new Porsche Panamera has a good amount of boot space, as long as you don't need the rear seats. With the seats folded down, you can fit up to 1264 liters of stuff in the back, which is pretty good for a premium sedan. So if you’re a Porsche purist and you need a lot of cargo space, you’ll likely be happy with the new Panamera.

2025 Porsche Panamera
2025 Porsche Panamera

Base Panamera variants are powered by a 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo engine with 353PS of power and mated to an 8-speed AT but the E-Hybrid variants are armed with the same engine but bolted to an E-Motor to produce a total output of up to 544PS of power for the 4S E-Hybrid variant. Mated to the said gearbox, it does 0-100kph in 3.7 seconds and flat-out at 290kph.

The range-topper Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is armed with the new 4.0L V8 turbo engine bolted to an E-Motor that produces a total output of 680PS of power and 930Nm of torque. It does 0-100kph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 315kph. That's nearly supercar performance in a car that weighs over two tons.

Dynamics have been slightly improved thanks to its standard Porsche Active Suspension Management, available all-wheel steering, available Porsche Active Ride active suspension, and new active shock absorbers, among others. With such improvements, the dynamics made the all-new model the best premium sedan to drive by a narrow margin. You might as well ditch your Mercedes-AMG S63 for this one. It feels downright addictive to drive.

As for safety, the all-new Panamera features a revised active speed assistant as well as the updated Porsche InnoDrive now with swerve assistant and the new Remote ParkAssist function.

The all-new Porsche Panamera is no doubt the best Panamera ever made by a narrow margin but is it really the best Porsche sedan you want to drive and leave others driven to tears?

2025 Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo

To give us the answer, let's introduce to you to the Porsche Taycan's 2025MY Minor Change. Priced at 101,500 Euros, which is slightly more expensive than the all-new Panamera, the Taycan is still offered with three body styles such as the saloon version, the Sport Turismo with up to 1212 liters of boot space with the rear seats folded down, and the slightly rugged Taycan Cross Turismo.

2025 Porsche Taycan

The Taycan minor change features a slightly refreshed design as well as a revised interior with more touchscreens, a refreshed digital instrumental cluster, standard brushed aluminum side sill scuff plates, new leather-free upholstery options (both with Pepita houndstooth fabric), revised two-tone color scheme choices and new Aluminium Prisma decor. Everything around the Taycan is still first-class comfort.

2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT

Of course, you can have the all-electric Taycan from 408PS to 952PS for the Turbo S but ignore all of that because there's now the ultimate Taycan you want to have; the Taycan Turbo GT.

Priced at 240,000 Euros plus additional costs, the Taycan Turbo GT juiced its AWD dual-motor powertrain with 105kWh Lithium battery to produce a monstrous 1034PS of power and 1340Nm of torque. It does 0-100kph in 2.3 seconds and flat-out at 290kph, slower than the all-new Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. As for driving range, the Taycan Turbo GT is good for 555km in one full charge and it will take half a day to charge it while at home or 18 minutes while at a public 320kW charging station if there is one.

Armed with the available Weissach Package that deletes the rear seats and other forms of comfort to drop 70kg on a car that weighs over two tons, the Taycan Turbo GT is capable of crushing the Nurburgring Nordschleife production EV lap record in 7 minutes and 7.55 seconds, faster than the controversial Tesla Model S Plaid. This is no doubt the fastest saloon to lap the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife and such plaudits must not be ignored.

So, the all-new third-generation Panamera and the Taycan minor change. Both Porsche saloons are built for the new normal with the first-class comfort and race-honed performance you would expect for a Porsche but in the end, it's the facelifted Taycan, in Turbo GT form, takes the upper hand. Either way, these two are too hot to be ignored. WE JUST WANT ONE OF THESE.

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

When Porsche introduced us the second-generation Panamera, it remains a disdain among Porsche traditionalists because this is more of a saloon than what a Porsche should be and behind the ugly looking exterior design comes the beating heart of the Porsche DNA that makes it a four-door supercar that promises everyone to ditch their chauffeurs and drive anywhere they like in this Porsche saloon beyond the limit. With the success of the second-generation Panamera, Porsche wants to do more with the Panamera with the introduction of the first ever Sport Turismo variant.

2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo
2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

The Sport Turismo is the shooting brake variant of the second-generation Panamera that was heavily coined from the concept car five years ago and while it features the same exterior design as its saloon derivative, the Sport Turismo is hands down one of the sexiest luxury cars on the market and because it's as sexy as a high school swim meet, you can't help but noticing the alluring silhouette that puts the deceased Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake or the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso into shambles.

2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo interior

The interior boasts the same creature comfort as well as the very complicating dashboard from the saloon but the Sport Turismo is the first Panamera to be offered with three seats, making it essentially a five-seater for the playboys who want a little night at Monaco. While not essentially spacious at the back, the Sport Turismo's boot space is surprisingly 20 litres more than the saloon, meaning there's still more room with some essentials you need for your next visit to the posh hotel or if you're heading to a posh event like an outdoor gala where you'll make everyone seeing stars with all the lights out. It can be a luxury car or can be a family car but because being a Porsche, you don't need to have a chauffeur to experience luxury in a whole new meaning.

2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

At the start, the Panamera Sport Turismo offers the same choice of engines as the saloon version with the queen of the pack goes to the Turbo variant with the 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine and with the optional Sport Chrono package, it does 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and onwards to 304kph. Like the saloon, all models are mated with an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (Double Clutch Gearbox). Of course, because this is a Sport Turismo, many are wandering if this new model still comes with the awesome pop-up retractable wing as seen on the saloon. Well, you can rest easy folks because the Sport Turismo features the first adaptively extendible roof spoiler in the segment which works well if you're driving at the Autobahn.

Like the saloon, the Sport Turismo can get a bit mild and tangy on the handling because of its four-wheel drive drivetrain which is standard on all Sport Turismo models but with the PDCC Sport and the Porsche Traction Management on it, it almost really feels like driving a Subaru WRX on a hot lap at the Nurburgring while escorting a VIP to a posh gala. So it's sporty and luxurious at the same time, not bad for a Porsche. Speaking of escort, it still comes with a wide array of safety tech that will get the escort duty done, including the NVG feature that detects objects after dark.

The Sport Turismo starts at 97,557 euros including VAT and while it's more expensive than the saloon variant, the added boot space and the sexy exterior design that balances the right with the wrong really shows that this shooting brake really means business for Porsche and whether if its taking it on the hot lap around your favorite racetrack or an escort job with a VIP at the back, the Panamera Sport Turismo does it all. It really is the jack of all trades or tirades if you may because with this car, it mixes business and pleasure at a steady pace.

FH3 Hot Wheels: Queenly Majesty

When the last time we encounter this "queenly majesty" in the nightlife of Hot Wheels Thrilltopia, I was thrilled that my kind of Porsche Panamera wanted to join the thrills and spills of Thrilltopia while giving me a total misery this "perfect queen" wanted me to do.

I don't really know why but this calls for a Bon Bon Voyage for me and the queen taking a summer vacation at Thrilltopia.

You may remember this second-generation Porsche Panamera Turbo that I tried back moments ago and then later transformed into the "perfect queen" with the gift of the "queenly majesty" to bow the eyes of beholders. That's Miss Elza Forte to you, by the way, but as the Tailor of Panamera returned for duty, it's my job to keep her entertained during our long summer holiday...unless you found out that summer happened months ago and it's already winter.

This "perfect queen" knows how to enjoy a little Game of Thrones here on Thrilltopia and she's very pleased. Very very pleased.

Forza Horizon 3: The Tailor of Panamera

For over half a decade, the Porsche Panamera has became a sacrilege for Porsche traditionalists because this is more of a saloon than what a Porsche should be and behind the ugly looking exterior design comes the beating heart of the Porsche DNA that makes it a four-door supercar that promises everyone to ditch their chauffeurs and drive anywhere they like in this Porsche saloon beyond the limit.

At long last, here comes the second-generation Porsche Panamera. To be found on the Porsche Car Pack of Forza Horizon 3, players got themselves the golden opportunity to try out the latest generation of Porsche's first ever saloon car that works like a luxury car and a sports car at the same pace. The Panamera you know has been refined, recharged, and reloaded for the new era.

For the second-generation Panamera, the exterior has been influenced by Porsche sports cars such as the 911 and the 718 while the interior has been heavily revamped with modern features such as touch panels in place of buttons. For the first time, an Executive long-wheelbase was offered featuring a much longer legroom on the back courtesy of its long wheelbase. The choice of engines include a 3.0L V6 (single or twin turbo), 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo, 4.0L V8 Diesel, and the E-Hybrid variant with the combination of a 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo engine and an electric motor. All models are mated with an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (Double Clutch Gearbox).

Seen here is the Panamera Turbo, which is the most powerful in the range for now and when equipped with the Sport Chrono package, it produces 550PS of power and 770Nm. of torque. It can go 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and onwards to 306kph. This is very fast for a luxury premium saloon and because it has permanent four-wheel drive system, it's not afraid to take on any weather condition forecasted on the telly. Hold on, since this car has four-wheel drive, you might think that this car is grippy as last time, am I right? Not so because with the adaptive air suspension with new three-chamber technology, including Porsche Active Suspension Management, the enhanced Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport system including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and active roll stabilisation, as well as a new electromechanical steering system, the new Panamera is like a hectic schedule of a basketball player who plays on game day and then after that, arrives on time for the wedding while dressed in formal attire...only this time he forgot to change his shoes. It's like sports and business mashed up for an executive saloon with the the DNA of a Porsche sportscar.

I know that I didn't like the latest exterior design of the Porsche because it feels like it haven't changed a bit but what I like about in the Turbo variant is the variable rear wing that is very Iron Man-ish when you're speeding. Looks cool but it can get you into real trouble when on public roads but since this is Horizon and there's no one around here to stop you, you're free to look at that new Panamera sprouting its wings like a metallic superhero. Speaking of which, since the Panamera is an executive premium saloon and a high-performance sportscar all rolled into one, my brain just hatched an idea.

Catered by the tailor of Panama...sorta...I have given the brand new Panamera the impression of a queen. The "Perfect Queen" if you know what I'm saying, huh? Anyway, you may not know her but this lady here is Aikatsu Stars' newest character, Elza Forte of the Venus Ark. That's right and that suits both of their personalities rather well so with some improvements already taken care of, it's time for the Perfect Queen to impress the crowd against...the best of Germany.

And so Queen Elza stunned the crowd with her pride and prestige while my allowance after the first four races with the new Panamera will surely rise. Although that sounds too cheap for me but...hold on, what's that? Hmm? Ok... I've just received word that there's a new barn find hidden somewhere in the Outback. While I was racing with the Panamera, word from the mouth is the Barn Find is located near the airport grounds. Here is the shot...

With the location set, me and the Panamera set off for the latest treasure hunt...

Time to find out what kind of legendary machine we encountered today...

Why that's the legendary Porsche 356A Speedster, a 356 catered for the American market. Known as the entry-level open-top version of the said model with the low, raked windscreen that can be detached for track racing, bucket seats, and a minimal folding top, this rare Californian treat is powered by the same 1.6L petrol engine as the other 356s, producing 60HP of power and 81ft-lb of torque, while mated with a 4-speed manual gearbox, but it weighs 1,676lbs, which makes this legend very nimble on the corners.

Anyway, enough chit-chat, let's see how the 356A lives up to being a legendary Porsche that became a hit in Californian roads in the past. Roll the tape!

Man, what a day it was for me. I managed to tailored the Panamera like a "perfect queen" and then unearthened a legendary Porsche 356A Speedster from the outback. It's like The Royals meets the Deadliest Catch and I couldn't be thankful for this day without these Porsches. Speaking of which, looks like the "perfect queen" wants me to have another go and yet, here I am, taking her for a spin.

See you again, folks.

Porsche Panamera (971)

Much to the purists' disdain, the addition of Porsche's first-ever four-door saloon, called the Panamera is a clear sign that even though Porsche makes the best sportscars since the iconic 911, anything is possible to cater specific customers with different kinds of cars and even though this is a four-door Porsche that disgusts most purists, this four-door saloon has the authority to put luxury saloons to shame with its quickness, despite its weight that upsets the driver apart. With the arrival of the second-generation model, how does the all-new Panamera stand out the rest as a four-door supercar?

2017 Porsche Panamera
First, let's take a look at a rather questionable new design. At first glance, nothing's change from its gorilla-looking exterior. The hints that will tell you that this Panamera is new is the front that looks similar to the 718 while the back looks vaguely similar to the current 911 and the side looks very much unchanged from the previous generation. Underneath to its questionable exterior is a new platform that will be mentioned later but for now, let's look inside.

2017 Porsche Panamera interior
2017 Porsche Panamera interior

The new interior is pretty much NASA stuff meets a robotic vision of the late 21st century. On the driver's side, there are no buttons on it and instead replace with the touch panels on the dashboard, which is great as long as your fingers aren't covered with cheese or garlic or whatever messy you went through. Best to pack up a handkerchief and a hand sanitizer handy because the next time your hands are messy after grabbing some snacks with your hands, touching the new Panamera's dashboard can be very messy.

With the addition of the brand new long-wheelbase Executive variant, the new Panamera is now on the S-Class level of luxuriousness as a premium sedan and with the added rear legroom, there is a fearful regret that you might hire a driver to drive one for you, which is very sad for a Porsche that is meant to drive, not to be driven by a chauffeur of some sorts.

2017 Porsche Panamera
2017 Porsche Panamera
So, the exterior design is still like last time, the interior is not welcomed for those with dirty hands, what to expect on the new Panamera? Oh yeah, time to talk about that new platform underneath it. This new platform, couple it with its new aluminum side body, combines the riding comfort of a luxury car and the performance of a sportscar, giving the new Panamera a new kind of driving experience for a car that is meant to be driven by anyone without compromise. Take it for a drive and you will see how serious the new Panamera can be. It can be mild and grippy but drivers need to stay focused on this because when the fun is on, there's no time to be numb while driving the new Panamera because it maybe a luxury saloon made to cater even wealthiest industrialists but it is a serious sportscar underneath it. Does this car made for the driver who demands more? It maybe new but who knows, it can put its chief rivals, the Aston Martin Rapide S and the Maserati Quattroporte to shame.

Now, we get to see under the hood of the new Panamera. First, there's a 3.0L V6 (single or twin turbo), 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo, 4.0L V8 Diesel, and the E-Hybrid variant with the combination of a 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo engine and an electric motor. All models are mated with an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (Double Clutch Gearbox). The most powerful version, the Panamera Turbo, armed with the Sport Chrono package, produces 550PS of power and 770Nm. of torque. It can go 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and onwards to 306kph. The E-Hybrid variant, meanwhile, features similar bits and bobs inspired from the Porsche 918 Hybrid, delivering a striking balance of performance and ecology. With 278kph of top speed, 462PS of combined power, and 700Nm of torque, its combined fuel economy promises 40km/L (2.5L/100km). Sounds scientific but it can be flattering if you ask how it works.

2017 Porsche Panamera

And then we get to the safety tech, which is unheard for a Porsche but works well on city streets. One of the coolest features on the new Panamera is the night vision assistant, which uses thermal imaging to detect people and large animals. Not as military grade as those NVGs used by troops but it can be useful while driving on darkest nights. There are other kinds of safety tech offered on the new Panamera but listing most of it can be a total waste when mentioning luxury sports cars that focused solely for driving purposes for the car enthusiasts.

Should you buy one? The new Panamera starts from 88,989 to 166,458 Euros, which sounds like a lot for a luxury saloon of that size. Sounds expensive for a luxury saloon that remains a blasphemy for purists everywhere but when it comes to rubbing the fronts of its rivals like the Rapide and the Quattroporte, the all new Porsche Panamera still wants its authoritarian trait as a Porsche remain and when it comes to making anyone jealous to test drive one, it's anyone's loss because...sigh...it's hard to describe when will we have the chance to drive one and that's way too specific for teary-eyed ones wanted to drive a Porsche someday.

Porsche Panamera minor change

All Porsches in the world are ugly and the Porsche Panamera looks more like a mangled ape. You might think that the ugliest Porsches of all would alienate buyers to its rivals, especially the Aston Martin Rapide and the Maserati Quattroporte but you were wrong because back in 2011, it seems that United States sold more Panameras than any other countries where it sold while the US city that sold the most was Los Angeles with 890 Panamera units sold. I can't believe that why rich wealthy American playboys took into consideration of buying one but never mind about that because what I heard, the ugliest Porsche of them all...gets a makeover and I'm not sure what's the outcome for this...

2014 Porsche Panamera

Well, for this minor change, the premium design that looks like a mangled ape, still looks like a mangled ape even though the Panamera minor change gained some new front and rear bumpers and some internal changes occurred for the updated model.

Let's start at the S variant because in the pre-facelifted model, it carries a 4.8L V8 which generates 400HP of power and a top speed of 177mph but for the new Panamera S model, as well as its 4WD derivative, the 4S, downsizing is now a thing of a present because now, the 4.8L V8 has been thrown away for good as well as its 6-speed manual transmission and inject it with a smaller 3.0L V6 twin turbo engine mated with a 7-speed PDK gearbox so the main things you'll be noticing on this downsizing are these: 20hp more power and 20Nm more torque, but up to 18 per cent better fuel economy compared to the V8 engine in the previous model.

Not bad for a downsized engine but I still find it disappointing that the 6-speed gearbox as seen on the old model has been thrown away for good so where's the fun at with this double-clutch gearbox? Although, this gearbox provides quicker shift times than the old manual, it's still just not worth it and yes, there's going to be a major trouble around here in the event of parking this car.

2014 Porsche Panamera

There are other updates for the new model as well such as the base model's 3.6L V6 model which now produces 310HP of power, annoyingly less powerful and slower than the new Maserati Quattroporte S Q4's 3-litre V6 engine. Then, the stripped-out GTS version gets a 10HP up to its 4.8L V8 engine while mated with a 7-speed PDK, developing a top speed of 179mph. Lastly, and the only powerful of its range for now, the Panamera Turbo's 4.8L V8 twin turbo engine gained a 20HP increase and the top speed is now 190mph, that's the same top speed as the Aston Martin Rapide S.

There are no changes to the diesel model, which has a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel engine that develops 250HP of power, 550Nm of torque, 152mph of top speed, and 166g/km of CO2 emissions.

2014 Porsche Panamera

For the 4S and Turbo models, there's now, for the first time, a long wheelbase version called the Executive and for this model, it adds 150mm of its wheelbase, making the rear legroom a little bit longer, which is ideal is some countries, especially China because in the Chinese car industry, space in the back matters more than anything else and, while this is only a hunch, those who bought these prefer to be chauffeured.

Yes, the Executive model of the Panamera is built for those who cares about space in the back and prefered to be chauffeured but since being chauffeured is not part of the new Panamera's character-building traits, let's find out more about its driving dynamics and find out what's like to be a driver's car.

When someone calls you that they don't like looking at your car, you'll be on a great shock that you'd notice that you've been driving such an ugly car on the streets and even if you want to make some noise in the tunnels, it seems a bit more quiet even when you make some revs. Seems that Silence has fallen with this one, if you know what I mean? Yep, Silence has fallen for the new Panamera when it comes to be a head-turning sports saloon but in terms of track days, when you are against the new Maserati Quattroporte and the Aston Martin Rapide S, it's really not that bad. I know, its 7-speed PDK maybe a royal pain in my fingers but it's still worth a fun to drive premium saloon car and when this car gets it right, it can easily eat both the new Quattroporte and the new Rapide S in terms of setting a lap time.

2014 Porsche Panamera

Most Porsches are ugly and they're not exciting to look at but they are durable and tough and that wins in the end and in the new Panamera, although it may look like a mangled ape, it may not look durable and tough because of its risk of recalls but because of its 911 inspirations, it behaves more like a track weapon rather than a car built for those who want to be chauffeured. It maybe a big car but its a definite wild car for those who want to fool around all day long.

Mind you, the new Panamera still comes with an almost perfect weight distribution, the lowest center of gravity of any big saloon and its lighter than any premium saloon rather than the featherweight Jaguar XJR. It even comes with magnesium window frames to keep the lard at bay. With all that and in the corners, it's an unfair science fair redux but that's just another story. I mean, even if it has flaws, it doesn't matter. I think I'm going to like this more than the BMW M5 and because it has a turbocharged V8 engine in the lineup, I am well impressed by its stunning behavior as well as its footwork needed. Despite the 6-speed MT is gone for good for this facelift, it's still a wonderful chemistry.

Be warned though, even if its fast car, you'll never gonna win in a race against an incoming parcel. I'm just saying...

Welcome Back: 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo

Four door supercars!

Yes, with the Porsche Panamera included in the Porsche DLC Pack, the four-door supercar fray is complete. Get it? Four door supercars! Just like in one Top Gear episode when Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May drove these three at the streets of London, thrashing around the closed business park (with The Stig) and how are these three worked as bridal cars for the wedding.

Oh, and something tells me that the Porsche Panamera first appeared in one episode of Top Gear where Hammond and May race with the Panamera against the Royal Mail delivering a package and in the end, the parcel defeated the Panamera. Ooh, too bad. However, there were some outtakes during the Panamera vs. Royal Mail race. Those include Hammond and May fight in the Porsche...

And the one that won Top Gear Awards 2009 "Injury of the Year Award"; HAMMOND AND MAY IN PAIN! Those idiots banged their head on the camera! LOLZ

The bewitching rear wing from the Panamera!

Another thing that surprised me about the Panamera was its rear wing that automatically appears when I hit over 60mph. That looks creepy but its cool to see something straight from the Panamera's back.

So, that's the Panamera returned on Forza 4 via Porsche Expansion Pack. Ugly car, serious power. It's way much faster than the hundred-thousand Pound Aston Rapide and the Maserati Quattroporte, despite the sound is a bit too low rather than the Rapide and the Quattroporte, which can make better sounds on their speeds.

Good luck recreating the final scene of the Top Gear Four Door Supercars episode, which involves drag race and power sliding! In the meantime, time to admire the bewitching Panamera by driving it round the Top Gear Test Track! Thanks, T10!

Edo Competition modifies the Panamera Turbo S up to 340km/h!

Edo Competition Panamera Turbo S

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S may be the most powerful Panamera ever built but if you found out that's not enough, don't worry because the boffins from Edo Competition modified the Panamera Turbo S to reach a top speed of 340kph and it's all thanks to modifying the turbocharged V8 engine that gives this modified Panamera Turbo S over 700PS of power, 880Nm of torque, and naught to 60 in 3.5 seconds. When it comes to styling, it comes served with 22-inch rims in Carbon-Look.

Panamera modified by Project Kahn

Project Kahn Panamera

Another Panamera modification and this time it's from Project Kahn! This British styling house really give this Porsche 4-door coupe some modifications it deserves such as a roof spoiler, rear wing, tinted windows, billet aluminum side vents, optional tinted tail lamps, red brake calipers, new tail pipes, and 22-inch rims that customers can choose whatever color they want. There's tuning abound so the Project Kahn Panamera do get a sports exhaust and suspension module for lowering.

RUF XL

RUF XL

World-renowned Porsche tuner, RUF, made a long-wheelbase version of the Porsche Panamera called the RUF XL, developed for the Chinese market. Now it may sound weird but can the RUF XL be any "video-game material"? I mean it seems that RUF's heading in the right direction but can the RUF XL be more materialistic because this is a Panamera modified to be LWB? Unveiled at the 2011 Guangzhou Auto Show, the RUF XL has a length of 3,320mm and it comes with a V8 engine producing 414HP of power.

I sure hope the RUF XL has a place in video games because RUF's well known for being featured in video games.

WALD Panamera Black Bison

WALD Panamera Black Bison

Another modified luxury saloon that is part of WALD's Black Bison lineup. This time, the Porsche Panamera's deserved the Black Bison treatment. With a new aero kit, new set of rims, rear spoiler, fender panel, DTM Sports Muffler, and a Velour Floor Mat, this modified Panamera would stop at nothing to be more...annoying.

The ultimate Panamera

2012 Porsche Panamera GTS

The Panamera to end all Panameras!

The new 2012 Porsche Panamera GTS is the ultimate Panamera ever made because of its upgraded 4.8L NA engine that produces 430HP, upgraded brakes, lowered body, improved suspension, and everything that makes this new model so special in the eyes of the big boys who are interested with super saloons. Still, the looks are not quite good...

Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

With the success of last year's Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid (based on the second-generation Porsche Cayenne SUV), Porsche raises up the green ante by introducing a second hybrid model and this time, it will be based on the Panamera, Porsche's first premium sedan.

The Porsche Panamera S Hybrid uses the same Panamera architecture but with the added hybrid ability to make it the ultimate high-performance hybrid designed and engineered in Leipzig, Germany. (Sorry Infiniti M Hybrid, but the Panamera S Hybrid is deserved to be the high-performance hybrid)

The new Panamera Hybrid is powered with the 3.0 litre V6 supercharged engine, capable of releasing 380PS/5500rpm worth of power, 580Nm/1000rpm worth of torque and a 288V electric motor that releases 34kW of power output. With the motor and engine powered, this hybrid is highly unstoppable, it can tear down the Infiniti M Hybrid by whatever means necessary. The top speed of the Panamera S Hybrid is 270km/h while the Infiniti M Hybrid goes for about 250km/h. However, there's a twist; when compared on a 0-100km run, the Infiniti M Hybrid scored 5.5 seconds while the Panamera S Hybrid scored .5 seconds more but whatever.

In terms of fuel consumption, the Panamera S Hybrid consumes 7.1 Liter/100 km combined while the Infiniti M Hybrid consumes 7.0 Liter/100 km combined. It's a shame that a 1L/100km difference made the Infiniti M Hybrid more fuel efficient than the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid.

The 8-speed Tiptronic S seems to be a handy transmission offered on the Panamera Hybrid but even when you shift it to Manual Mode, it seems to be more stressful like the Lexus ISF, which also has an 8-speed transmission. It would be nice to drop a few gears to make the Panamera Hybrid fun to drive but 8 gears wouldn't been a good preference and it could ended up being a total nonsense but still it will do whatever it can for the Panamera S Hybrid to bring compensation to the drivers.

My Comment:
I would kindly take back the words I said. I would still prefer the Asian-American Infiniti M Hybrid over the German-made Porsche Panamera Hybrid because of the time lapsed at the 0-100km, the fuel economy, and the emissions but if I'm bored, I would just give the Panamera Hybrid a try.

The Porsche Panamera Hybrid is the second Porsche hybrid car since the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid.

Porsche Panamera

Nothing matches a luxurious lifestyle for the rich and famous: liposuction, expensive yachts, a stay at the world’s most expensive hotel in Dubai, a game of golf, fancy cars, a gamble at the casino, eating at a five-star restaurant, becoming their own boss. Nothing beats fancier lifestyles than the world’s first premium sedan created from Porsche and it’s set to be known as the “Maserati Quattroporte killer” by most sports car fans from around the globe and the most likely target by the upcoming Rolls-Royce Ghost, the Bentley Mulsanne, and the Aston Martin Rapide. Welcome to the new Porsche Panamera.

Porsche’s first luxury sedan is mostly a fancier treat for all Porsche fans from around the world and if that was not fancy enough, take no further to the details that are so expensive to tell. Look closely at the Panamera’s sporty exterior. At first glance, the front is somewhat mistaken for the ultra-sporty Carerra GT supercar, but the side is mostly a sedan look that resembles their early 4-door prototypes such as the Porsche 989 concept car or the other 4-door Porsche prototype that was based on the 911 platform. Moreover, the rear side of the Panamera is mostly a similarity to the Boxster/Cayman sibling. These looks made the Panamera not just a sports car, but also an ultra luxury premium sports sedan designed for the rich and famous.
What is under the Panamera’s hood? Think about this, there two V-shaped engines (similar to the Cayenne SUV) to choose from. The first choice is the 4.8-litre V8 engine that blows a commanding 400PS@6500rpm at the torque of 500N•m@3500-5000rpm and the second choice is a sovereign 4.8-litre V8 turbo engine that has the royal power of 500PS at the torque of 700N•m @2250-4500rpm. With that kind of power, especially when either the Panamera is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed PDK, the likes of the AMG sedans and the BMW M5 might saw it coming.

From the sporty exterior, the Panamera has the most luxurious interior offered for the executive who wanted to spend some free time on the road. Consider having a rear-seat entertainment system that is optional for the Panamera; with that kind of option, the passenger would love to enjoy watching his/her favourite movies while stuck on a heavy traffic. Only a luxurious German premium sports car should offer so many luxurious amenities, especially when these features have not reached its owner standards yet.

THE BIG SCOOP:

With rivals such as Benz’s S-Class, the upcoming Audi A8, and the BMW 7-Series from Germany, Hyundai’s Equus and Kia’s upcoming executive car based on the VG concept car from Korea, an upcoming Nissan Fuga, Lexus’ LS (expect facelifts soon!) and Toyota’s Crown Majesta from Japan, and even Maserati’s Quattroporte from Italy, nothing beats a warm-blooded premium sedan made from Porsche and when it hits our shores soon, the pricing can be a technical knock-out for the customer. Imagine the pricing for the Panamera when it hits the Philippines next year (or in 2011, when possible); about 7,000,000 to 10,000,000 pesos for all Panamera variants! You better save a huge amount of money (or find some luck winning a lottery) to get that kind of Porsche! That is a fact.
