Last year, the Nissan Juke crossover gained a hot NISMO variant and even though the NISMO model comes with the improved performance, it still feels as hard as making Meccanos in your home even though it has 4WD on it.

At first glance, it still looks like the facelifted Juke only this time with some NISMO-themed upgrades to keep this crossover more sports-oriented in mind. Even though this car looks more refreshed than before, it still looks like a clown to the eyes of observers judging from the red side mirrors and the black, white, and silver exterior paint. Looks like this boyoyong clown still has the rounds to make kids cry during a cheap birthday party.

The former Juke NISMO has 200PS of power from its Nismo-tuned MR16DDT DIG TURBO while mated with the XTRONIC CVT-M7 but for the new NISMO RS model, that engine is now recalibrated to  214PS thanks to the ECU tuning and as for the gearbox, NISMO recalibrated it so now it can engage to 8-speed manual mode via paddle shifters. That sounds wonderful but to me, it feels like cheap old birthday parties from your neighbors with the added boyoyong clown to make it look dull. Hmmm...

Handling-wise, the Juke NISMO RS features updated driving dynamics to keep it more hot hatch-ish than the last time and this car promises the motorsport DNA Nismo deserves having spent several man-hours getting involved in motorsports, even the Super GT. To me, feels like the handling's slightly improved, and looks like the Meccano image has been shaken away and to be replaced by the image of...Bondying. What? It feels like a Bondying? Give me a break but for a bulky car with such dynamics, the Juke NISMO RS might be more than enough to give a rookie on a track day a slight smile on his or her face.

Like the previous Juke NISMO, the new RS model still comes with All-Mode 4x4-i system which not only feels milder on the track but also a good all-weather vehicle when you're taking a break.

Should you buy one? The new Juke NISMO RS starts at 3,434,400 Japanese Yen, which is more expensive than the previous model but because of its turbocharged engine and updated driving dynamics, this will be a good car for a track day. I wouldn't mind one because of that feeling that feels like a boyoyong clown is messing up your birthday party.

The Nissan Juke has been around since its June 2010 debut and gained pretty much mixed reviews from the global press. Other say that it's funky, some disregard for its bizarre looks, and a few got confused with it. Anyway, since it's already four years old, Nissan decided that this bizarro crossover needs a facelift and here it is. All warm and dry to take on the world.

Okay, so what's new about the 2015 minor change Juke? Well, look closely on the weird-looking front view and you will notice that it comes with a new front lamps reminiscent of the Z34 Fairlady Z's. That new headlamps look perfect but when it comes to its overall looks, there's no hiding from its bizarre looks and because it's still as hideous as its pre-facelift, it's going to stand out from any crowd more than Brainiac himself. Meh...They can spot one quicker than finding a stick insect.

What's also new, but even more noticeable, is the Personalization option for the Juke. Before buying a new Juke, customers can choose which color and which accents they can fit on their Juke, this is just like making a few tweaks of their blog's CSS to make it look neat and clean. First, they can choose which variant; either a 1.5L or a 1.6L DIG TURBO model, then select one of nine exterior colors (Sunlight Yellow, Super Black, Azurite Blue, Dark Metal Grey, Radiant Red, Passion Red, Brilliant White Pearl, Brilliant Silver, and Night Bell Purple), and then choose what colors fit for their door mirrors, door handles, and the interior. There are over 90 ways to personalize your new Juke and that's not science, it's how it's made to make the Juke exclusive to you.

Yes. Like I've mentioned earlier, the new 2015 Juke still comes with the 1.5L and the turbocharged 1.6L direct-injected engine under the hood. The 1.5L engine, mated with the CVT gearbox and idling stop feature, now comes with dual injectors and it develops 114PS of power, 150Nm of torque, and fuel economy (by JC08 Mode standards) of 18kmpl.

The 1.6L DIG TURBO, on the other hand, is bolted with the ALL MODE 4x4-i with Torque Vectoring, which theoretically reduces understeering for more direct steering, and the XTRONIC CVT features a 7-speed manual mode. Seven fake gears that will keep you longing for miles. With 190PS of power output and 240Nm of torque output, this model is the Juke you would really wanna buy for the fun of it but for that power comes with the price; the fuel economy is a grumpy 14.2kmpl on the JC08 Mode scale. Don't think we're done about this because coming this fall, there's going to be a NISMO RS version of the Juke as well.

Prices for the 2015 Juke start at 1,737,720 to 2,678,400 Yen with tax included.

However, what if you're not a woman or in dire need for something a little more sporty? Just not this one, the Nissan Juke, okay? Because ever since it came out in Japan since the summer of 2010, it was already a hit because in its home market, Nissan scored over a ten thousand orders for the Juke, surpassing the 1,300 units per month sales target. However, despite being a hit, the Juke's well critizied over its unconditional design, even though it was designed in Britain, and its small room. Thing is though, the Juke was the first to feature Nissan's brand new MR16DDT DIG Turbo engine, which seems to be okay but not quite hot enough to satisfy its tastes.

Well known fact that stunt driver Terry Grant drove a Nissan Juke to pull off a world record by driving round Goodwood in two wheels! Anyway, if you think the Nissan Juke's not quite good enough to satisfy your "unsatisfied" hunger, there's another Juke that...um...well, you decide the outcome...

 Nissan's tuning division, NISMO, took some time and some precautions to tinker the Nissan Juke compact crossover and the finished product resulted in this, the NISMO version of the Nissan Juke, the hot crossover with some sporty orientation in mind thanks to NISMO.

Thing is though, I sometimes didn't like the looks of a normal Juke because it's a bit of an oddball and it's a bit of a...joke but for the NISMO model, this is not a joke because the blokes from NISMO took it very seriously to make the best better and with the Nissan Juke NISMO, it's a struggle in the process.

First of all, the NISMO model of the Juke uses the 16GT FOUR model as its foundation for the NISMO Complete Car based on the Juke and by the looks of it, it's not a bit of a half-cook rooster that was fried up before its cockfighting debut. Surprisingly, instead of a fried rooster, I think the Juke NISMO kinda looks like a clown because the red side mirrors and the black, white, and silver exterior paint doesn't make any sense of being a sporty Juke model with a track-focused mind. Feels like it's as ruined as the elementary students messed up sets of Meccano toys and instead chose over LEGO because it's so easy to create stuff out of a million LEGO bricks. This feels like a Mecanno because it's so complicating to make than LEGO blocks.

Same goes for the NISMO-tuned suspension as well. Although, the NISMO tuned suspension offered on the Nissan Juke NISMO is capable enough to handle like a normal hot hatchback, it's still a bit fidgety, it's a bit Meccano-ish, and it's full of drama everytime this car went on the corners. It's the same feeling I've expected on last year's Hyundai Veloster Turbo because while the Juke NISMO is not on the same league as the Veloster Turbo, they both share the only experience in common; the handling that makes the driver very stressful. However, while the Veloster Turbo is a bit more stressful than the Juke NISMO, the Juke NISMO is kinda more of a beginners' luck. If you're the kind of bloke who got a driver's license for the first time, this car really doesn't matter if you're not concentrating but sometimes if you're not concentrating, it would be a straight and curly ride to your Sir Chief's office.

2013 Nissan Juke NISMO

Power comes from the same MR16DDT DIG TURBO engine but Nismo gave 10PS more, so now, it carries 200PS of power and 250Nm of torque while being mated with the XTRONIC CVT-M7 and All Mode 4X4-i with torque vectoring that some say it reduces the risk of having a little thing called catastrophic understeer. That seems to be quite juicy though, in fact, the improved chassis and the improved engine really makes it keen enough to tingle someone else's gentleman stuff over and over but only if it used in the right way.

With all that tinkering lead to its price and the Juke NISMO will cost you about  2,851,000 Japanese Yen and what can you say? Expensive? Reasonable? I can't say but with such pricing comes with the car that has an improved engine, improved chassis, unique exterior details, and the ride and handling that's about as hard as making Meccanos in your home.

About the Nissan Juke Nismo, this was unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show and what this is, is a Nismo-tuned version of the wild-looking Nissan Juke crossover compact. The chassis which has been lowered and stiffened, while the 1.6-liter direct injection turbo gasoline engine has been uprated to deliver more power and performance. As for the Nissan Juke-R though, what happens when you put some of the Nissan R35 GT-R know how in the Juke's body? The result is a monster of a masterpiece.  A Nissan Juke fitted with the GT-R's VR38DETT's engine is not the kind of Juke you would expect on the road and it's made in a very limited production run thanks to customer interests. The first owner of this wild and monstrously wicked Juke-R was in Dubai and that guy must have been lucky to drive one of those...

Under the hood is a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine adopted directly from Nissan's flagship supercar. Under the floor hides the GT-R's six-speed transaxle, with the front and rear ends joined by a modified GT-R 4WD driveline and prop shaft, while chunky 20-inch RAYS forged alloy rims fill each wheel arch.

The interior merges crossover and supercar with finesse, as the Juke's dashboard has been transformed to accommodate the gauges, dials and 7-inch customisable LCD display from the GT-R. The Juke's iconic center console, inspired by the fuel tank of a motorcycle, remains while the rest of the interior has the look of a machine bred for the track. Twin race-seats with five-point harnesses sit inside a visible roll cage that gives FIA safety standards as well as enhanced rigidity to provide the ultimate performance.

2012 Nissan Juke Kuro

In the United Kingdom, where the Nissan Juke is built at Sunderland, there was a special edition Juke labeled under the "Kuro" name. Of course, Kuro is Japanese for black, this limited edition Juke shows off its dark side.

Based on the flagship Tekna grade, the Juke Kuro features a ten spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss black. Black door mirrors and handles also made a finishing touch to the Juke Kuro. It comes with two colors; Pearl Black and Force Red.

It is limited to 700 units available and all of these are built at Nissan's Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom. Introductory price is 17,395 British Pounds Sterling for the 1.6L variant while the Juke Kuro DIG TURBO costs about 18,995 British Pounds Sterling.

Available for order, delivery in October 2011.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. launched two special Juke models exclusively on the Japanese market. First off, the special edition Juke 15RS/15RX Type V is known to be the entry-level special Juke grade because of the introductory price of 1,621,500 Japanese Yen or 1,500,000 Philippine pesos estimate for the Nissan Juke 15RS Type V.

For those who think the Juke Type V is too bland for you, Autech came up with a special Juke variant called "Juke 15RS/15RX Urban Selection" and it features a stylish grille, low down suspension, exhaust finisher, 17-inch aluminum wheels, and an "Urban Selection" emblem to add a nice touch. The special edition model is bound to be the stylish Juke ever made.

Both of these are exclusive for Japan only.

This Juke's now fully armed with the high-performance MR16DDT (1.6L Direct Injection Petrol Engine) DIG Turbo engine and with the optional All-Mode 4X4-i system to go further everywhere. The blade's been sharpened, the face gets tougher, the Juke's urban legend in Japan is just begun. With strong sales since its Japan debut in June 2010, the new DIG Turbo engine will whisk away the competition. The Mitsubishi RVR (ASX) and the Subaru Impreza XV are going to be upset when they hear this!

Hope that this turbocharged Juke will be on the Philippines soon if NMPI or Universal Motors has the chance.

When you hear the word "Juke", you might think you heard it before because it was just a jukebox with a wide variety of songs to choose. From Nissan, the word "Juke" will just change your course.

Based from the Qazana concept car as seen on last year's Tokyo Motor Show, the upbeat personality of Nissan's newest compact crossover, the Juke, wows the crowd more than hip-hop dancers, rappers, and punks standing out the streets. Designed in Europe and engineered by Japan, the Juke features a razor-sharp exterior which shines like a katana wielded by a samurai, providing to be the fiercest crossover on the world. If you look closely at the Juke's side view, you might think of it as a 3-door coupe, but you might be wrong because the Juke is a five-door crossover because of the secret rear door (which is also found on the GM Daewoo Matiz Creative) that confuses the young customers.

From its razor-sharp exterior, the Nissan Juke's interior feels like you are inside an arcade driving game, but take note, you are not playing an arcade-driving machine, and you are driving the real deal.

The Juke features the HR15DE engine that is a 1.5L natural aspiration engine that releases 115PS of power and the fuel economy of 19.0km/L. This engine was approved for Japan's eco-car tax break law. The Juke also gets the fuel-efficient XTRONIC CVT for the best performance.

My thoughts about the Juke:
The Mitsubishi RVR is going to be upset when facing against the Nissan Juke. That is because the fuel efficiency is even better, resulting as a loss for the RVR and as a win for the Juke. Slated for Japanese sale next month, and soon in other countries, let us hope that either NMPI or Universal Motors Corporation will bring the Juke to the Philippine market soon.

With its razor-sharp exterior, arcade-style interior, pulse-pounding performance, and outstanding value for money, the Nissan Juke truly is a pulse-pounding entertainer that stands out the crowd more than everyone else.
