2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Motul Petit Le Mans

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is the final destination for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The Motul Petit Le Mans is the title fight to decide who will be crowned champions as the night falls.

As darkness falls in the final race of the season, the winners are named. The #01 Cadillac Racing Cadillac V-Series.R is the winner of the season finale while the #11 TDS Racing ORECA LMP2 07 wins the LMP2 class, the #19 Iron Lynx Huracan GT3 EVO2 in the GTD PRO class, and the #34 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 for the GTD class.

As the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship came to an end, the #7 PORSCHE PENSKE MOTORSPORT emerged as the champion, the #77 AO RACING in the GTD PRO class, and the #57 Winward Racing in the GTD class.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Tirerack.com Battle of the Bricks

The rainy weather didn't stop drivers from showcasing their motorsport prowess at the Brickyard. The 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is down to its penultimate race of the season, the Tirerack.com Battle of the Bricks, held at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

BMW delivered their first-ever 1-2 finish in the GTP category with the #24 BMW M Team RLL M Hybrid V8 the winner and the #25 the second-placer. The #11 TDS Racing wins the LMP2 class, the #77 AO Racing 911 GT3 R (992) with the iconic Rexy livery at the GTD PRO Class, and the #120 Wright Motorsport 011 GT3 R (992) in the GTD class. The Germans nearly took over the Brickyard in style and finesse, no doubt.

With three races left this season, the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues with the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR, a race reserved for GT cars going all-out as the climax draws near.

The #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 of Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow has dominated the GTD PRO class of this race while the #32 Korthoff/Preston Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Mikael Grenier and Kenton Koch wins the GTD class.

The 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues with the penultimate race of the season, the Tirerack.com Battle of the Bricks, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from September 19 to 22, 2024.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Road America

The Olympics are currently in full swing, and everyone’s eyes are on the games. That doesn’t mean there isn’t still exciting racing happening elsewhere, though! The 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues this weekend at Road America, and it’s sure to be a thrill from start to finish. 

Road America is a classic American road course known for its fast straights, challenging corners, and beautiful scenery. The IMSA drivers are pushing their cars to the limit as they battle for the lead.

The #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 of Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy nailed another IMSA win in Road America while the #2 United Autosports USA ORECA LMP2 07 dominated the LMP2 class, the #35 Conquest Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 in the GTD PRO class, and the #96 Turner Motorsport M4 GT3 in the GTD class.

The next race will be the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR, a race reserved for GTD and GTD PRO class machines, this August 25th.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Chevrolet Grand Prix

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is the next stop for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Chevrolet Grand Prix. The summer racing season in IMSA will be as fierce as the sun even if it's up north.

The #52 Inter Europol by PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA LMP2 07 is the overall winner of the Chevrolet Grand Prix. In contrast, the #3 Corvette Racing Z06 GT3.R wins the GTD PRO class and the #27 Heart of Racing Vantage GT3 EVO wins the GTD class, another impressive performance for the new Vantage racer.

The next race is at Road America this August 1-4, 2024.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen

It's the first Sunday of summer 2024, and the Watkins Glen racetrack is hosting Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen, the first in the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. 

Even the heavy rainfall that brought the race to a temporary halt couldn't stop this race from sending the message that the summer racing season is here. This six-hour multi-class endurance race is going to get the summer started right.

What a race! It was such a nail-biter, but the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 was the last car standing at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen this weekend. A major congrats to the team for this well-deserved win. Fans are also pumped for the #88 Richard Mille AF Corse ORECA LMP2 07, the #23 Heart of Racing Vantage GT3 EVO, and the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 for their wins in their respective classes. This race is the perfect way to kick off the summer season.

The next race is the Chevrolet Grand Prix in Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this July 12-14.

The #10 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti ARX-06, driven by Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque, emerged victorious at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix IMSA edition while the #77 AO Racing 911 GT3 R (992) of Laurin Heinrich and Seb Priaulx dominated the race's GTD PRO class.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N

 The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues in WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the Motul Course de Monterey powered by Hyundai N. The world's best GTP, GTD PRO, and GTD class cars are racing on this legendary East Coast racetrack, navigating the most demanding corners, including the infamous Corkscrew. This is a challenging work.

The Porsche 963, fresh from its recent success in a WEC race in Spa, became a lucky machine for that race weekend as the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 of Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy emerged victorious at Laguna Seca. Its #7 counterpart finished 3rd, behind the #31 Whelen Cadillac Racing Cadillac V-LMDh. In the GTD PRO, the #77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), famous for its Rexy livery, is the winner, while the GTD class belongs to the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The next IMSA event is the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix this May 31 to June 1st.

Cadillac pulled a 1-2 finish with the #01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R of Sebastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande emerged as the winner of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach while the #31 Whelen Cadillac Racing V-Series.R finished 2nd. In the GTD class, the #89 VasserSullivan RCF GT3 wins.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

The 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues in Sebring International Raceway for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, where wild moments await in this 12-hour endurance slugfest.

This year's Sebring endurance race saw numerous misfortunes on track from a spin for the Risi Competizione 296 to an unfortunate crash for the #31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R with Pipo Derani behind the wheel. Amid the series of unfortunate events, this is becoming one of the most thrilling races ahead of the Spring season.

After a grueling 12-hour thriller, the #40 Wayne Taylor Racing ARX-06 emerged as the winner of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring while the #18 Era Motorsport LMP2 07 won the LMP2 class, the #14 VasserSullivan RC F GT3 for the GTD PRO class, and the #57 Winward Racing AMG GT3 for the GTD class.

The next race is the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this April 19-20.

2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Rolex 24 at Daytona

The 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship kicked off with the first endurance racing event of 2024, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. With an eclectic mix of veterans and rookies assembled in this 59-car grid representing four different classes such as the GTP, LMP2, GTD, and GTD PRO, the first endurance racing event of 2024 is a stunner from dawn to dusk to dawn again.

After 24 hours of intense Daytona thriller, the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsports 963 of Matt Campbell, Felipe Nasr, Dane Cameron, and Josef Newgarden made headlines as the overall winner of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The #18 Era Motorsport Oreca LMP2 07 wins the LMP2 class, the #62 Risi Competizione 296 GT3 for the GTD PRO class, and the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 for the GTD class.

The next race is the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 16 at Sebring International Raceway.

2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - MOTUL Petit Le Mans

The 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship concludes in Road Atlanta for the MOTUL Petit Le Mans endurance race, a 10-hour finale where various race cars from different classes are going all-out to end the season strong. For the new GTP-class machines, their maiden season run has successfully wrapped up strong but there's only one big winner.

The #60 Meyer Shank Racing w/ Curb-Agajanian ARX-06 wins the MOTUL Petit Le Mans for the top-tier GTP class while #04 Crowdstrike Racing by APR Oreca 07 wins the LMP2 class, the #30 JR III Racing JS P320 for the LMP3 class, the #79 WeatherTech Racing AMG GT3 for the GTD PRO class, and the #78 Forte Racing Powered by US RaceTronics Huracan GT3 EVO2 for the GTD class.

2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Tirerack.com Battle of the Bricks

For the first time in IMSA history, they've stopped by The Racing Capital of The World, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, for the Tirerack.com Battle of the Bricks.

Using the road course as the basis of IMSA's Indy campaign, the Battle of the Bricks is one in the history books. From a turn 1 disaster, every pitwork, every corner, and every overtake, Indianapolis never felt so alive when IMSA's around.

At the end of IMSA's Indy campaign, the winners have been crowned. The #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 wins the GTD class, the #79 WeatherTech Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the GTD PRO class, the #17 AWA Duqueine D08 for LMP3 class, the #11 TDS Racing ORECA LMP2 07 for LMP2 class, and the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 for the GTP class.

The 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship concludes in Road Atlanta for the MOTUL Petit Le Mans this October 11-14.

2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - MICHELIN GT Challenge at VIR

VIRginia International Raceway is the next stop of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the MICHELIN GT Challenge as the best GT-class racers clash in this end-of-summer racing spectacle.

The #3 Corvette Racing C8.R emerged as the winner of the GTD PRO class, beating the likes of Lexus and Porsche drivers in the fray. In the GTD class, meanwhile, the #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 is the winner.

The #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 dominated Road America while the #52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports wins the LMP2 class, the #74 RILEY in the LMP3 class, the #23 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage for the GTD PRO class, and the #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 for GTD class.

2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix

Lime Rock Park became a battleground for GT-class racers as the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues with the FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix presented by Liqui Moly. The grass is greener and the race is scorching with this one.

2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen

Despite the threat from the Canadian wildfires, the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen endurance race of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship managed to move on right away, amid the smoggy outlook, a fitting start to their intense summer racing escapades.

Originally, the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 is the winner of this six-hour endurance race in New York but due to a penalty imposed in postrace technical inspection, the runner-up GTP racer, the #25 BMW M Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8 has been promoted to 1st place, a first win for the BMW GTP racing machine.

Meanwhile, the #4 CROWDSTRIKE RACING wins the LMP2 class, the #74 RILEY for LMP3, and a double class win for Vasser Sullivan with the #14 winning the GTD PRO class and the #12 for the GTD class.

The next event is the Chevrolet Grand Prix at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this July 7-9.
