Launched in 2001 for the PS2, Silent Hill 2 cemented its status as one of the all-time greats because of its iconic storytelling and unforgiving survival horror mechanics players can't get enough of. Silent Hill 2 (2024 Game)

Exclusively for the PlayStation5, the reborn Silent Hill 2 welcomes fanatics back to the cursed town with new and unforgiving ways to survive while reliving the iconic storyline. It was the right thing to do because the Silent Hill franchise is still alive and creeping. Don't adjust your portable radios.

Like in the original, players assume the role of James Sunderland, who ventures into the cursed town of Silent Hill, believing that his deceased wife Mary is alive somewhere. Trapped in the never-ending nightmare, James must confront his past sins to uncover the truth.

Thanks to the Unreal Engine, the reborn Silent Hill 2 delivers a fresh new perspective on an iconic classic. From the fluidic graphics and sounds combined with the PS5's capabilities, revisiting a survival horror legend never felt this new.

As expected, survival is key in this game, and the remake features a reworked combat system that requires some strategy to fight back or escape monsters lurking around the town, especially the ones you know. It's not just the enemies and the scarce supplies you should worry about. It's the puzzles you may encounter throughout your gameplay, and in some cases, you may need to smash some objects to find something useful.

Of course, there are different endings in this game. How will you encounter them? You'll have to play the entire game to find out.

Silent Hill 2 was no doubt one of the all-time survival horror greats when it first came out in 2001. With this 2024 remake, there are plenty of reasons to revisit a terrifying classic from a whole new perspective. Brace yourselves. The Red Pyramid Thing is awaiting your unforgiving return to this worldwide phenomenon.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

The Juice is Loose again as The Ghost with the Most returns in this long-awaited sequel of the megahit horror-comedy movie that will make you juiced to say his name three times.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

With Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their roles of the trickster demon Beetlegeuse and his victim Lydia Deetz, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the present-day sequel that also stars Catherine O'Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Belucci, Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), and Wilheim Dafoe.

In this sequel, Lydia lives as a widow of her daughter Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega. With news from her mother that her father died, things are spiraling out of control for Lydia. When her daughter Astrid fell into a paranormal trap, it didn't take long until Lydia summoned her biggest nightmare, Beetlegeuse, to save her daughter from the afterlife.

This long-awaited sequel to the megahit horror-comedy movie "Beetlejuice" has enough horrifying and hilarious moments to keep you on the edge of your seat. While it may not be as terrifying or funny as the original, it's still a worthy addition to the autumn movie season.

It takes guts to redefine Beetlejuice for the 21st century and he's still scary as ever. Typical Tim Burton alchemy, if you catch my drift.

Halloween has arrived early thanks to this terrifying and comical sequel to the classic horror-comedy movie that will make heads roll. Feeling juiced to be juiced by the Juice? Well, that's all you're getting.

The Ghost with the Most is juiced up to see you again...

Five Nights at Freddy's (movie)

The long-awaited live-action movie adaptation of the megahit horror game series, Five Nights at Freddy's, has arrived in theaters and it's going to be as terrifying as the game itself. Don't blink or they'll get you.

Five Nights at Freddy's (movie)

From the producer of horror movie hits like M3GAN, The Black Phone, and The Invisible Man, the live-action movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's centers on a security guard who begins working at the derelict Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, only to find out that this abandoned pizza parlor packed with sinister-looking animatronics is a living hell at the dead of night.

Like the game itself, no part of this movie is safe for all viewers because the live-action FNAF movie is a hellhole of horrors until the very end, and when the iconic but sinister animatronics come flashing through the big screens, get your therapist ready because it will be too traumatizing for you to forget them, especially when you're done watching the movie.

Fans of the hit video game series have been clamoring to bring FNAF to life on the big screen and they've got what they've wanted, a flashing fear fest that stays true to the video game roots, making it the must-watch movie of the Halloween season.

If you survived the whole FNAF game a thousand times, try surviving the live-action movie adaptation if you dare.

SAW X

The world's gone X-crazy in 2023 ever since the social media platform slashed away the bluebird and called it X, and now, you should add the horror movie franchise SAW to the list of everything X in it because...SAW X is here.

SAW X
SAW X

SAW X, the tenth movie in the SAW movie franchise, is the untold chapter of this twisted bloodbath that is set before the events of SAW III.

Long before John "Jigsaw" Kramer's death in the said movie, the infamous mastermind behind the deadly escape games that killed his players traveled to Mexico in search of a cure to his uncurable disease, only to end up in a scam and the scammers that ruined his life became the players of his deadly set of games.

This latest madhouse really is the missing link to the book of SAW, giving fans a much-needed closure about John Kramer's chronicle before his death in SAW III. Timeline terror aside, it still delivers the same SAW aftershock from the beginning to the end of this movie with the barrage of fatalities and brutalities expected from this untold chapter.

Think you are ready for Jigsaw's other game? Looking forward to survive this untold story from the book of SAW. Consider yourselves crossed.

BIOHAZARD RE:4

Launched in 2005, Biohazard (Resident Evil) 4 is hailed as the franchise's greatest of all time because every single console made from the time of its launch to today has one. Such longevity prompted the producers to give the franchise's GOAT a much-needed remake for the new generation, harnessing the power of the RE ENGINE to the iconic installment.

BIOHAZARD RE:4 (PS5)

BIOHAZARD RE:4 is the long-awaited remake of the 2005 original installment that caused a lot of stir since its launch. The greatest installment of all time has been reborn for the new generation of consoles.

Fans of the original BIOHAZARD 4 are heavily familiar with the story. Set six years after the Raccoon City incident from the previous installments, Leon S. Kennedy, now a US government agent, is on a mission to rescue the president's daughter, whose whereabouts are hidden throughout a mysterious village inhabited by Ganados, humans plagued by the plaga unleashed by a sinister cult known as the Los Illuminados.

Every memorable moment from the installment, the memorable cast of characters, and everything fans loved about this franchise has been faithfully recreated by the power of the RE ENGINE first debuted in 2017's BIOHAZARD 7, giving a fresh lease of life to the greatest installment of all time. From every angle, the RE ENGINE made RE:4 even more realistic compared to the original BIOHAZARD 4.

The gameplay mechanics from BIOHAZARD 4 still works in this remake but with a couple of changes such as crafting ammunition and healing items, and of course, the parry and evade system where, at the right time, you can parry and evade enemy attacks, which are life-saving as expected.

As expected, the shop system is still there in the remake. If you need new weapons, upgrades, repairs, or selling treasures, feel free to visit the merchant. Plus, you can take on side requests where you can earn spinels when completed and use them in exchange for rare items. Talking about treasures, there are some treasures that can be sold at an ultra-high price when you combine them with various jewels. Match the same jewel colors in a treasure and the selling price will be better. Try it.

A masterpiece 18 years in the making, BIOHAZARD RE:4 brings the iconic installment to a whole new meaning for the new generations of gaming consoles. The greatest installment of all time has been reborn and it's one of the must-play horror games of the year.

Scream VI

The Someone You Know returns and this time, he's terrorizing the Big Apple in the newest installment of the Scream horror movie franchise. Don't pick up the phone because Someone You Know is going to get you yet again.

Scream VI

Scream VI, the sixth installment of the Scream horror movie franchise, sees the iconic but horrifying serial killer Ghostface terrorizing the Big Apple in a way never done before. In this movie, the four survivors from the last movie left Woodsboro and move to New York City for their new beginnings. Sadly, the Someone You Know is out there, hunting down his remaining victims in the metropolis.

This is Scream unlike any other because the streets of New York are Ghostface's latest hunting ground where no victim is safe even in this bustling metropolis, making it a large-scale torture from start to finish and no safe space is safe enough from the terror, gore, and suspense this new Scream movie delivers. You've been warned.

The phone is ringing. Are you ready to answer Ghostface's latest phone call in The Big Apple? Be ready because when you watch this film, it's a bloody shocker even when you finish it.

M3GAN

Kicking off the 2023 movie year is a terrifying new movie crafted by horror movie professionals that will put most of the Child's Play movies to the thrift shop of horrors.

M3GAN

Crafted by the minds of James Wan and Blumhouse, M3GAN is a horror movie about an AI doll that will showcase the true horrors between man and machine, which kinda reminds us of the other movies with humans vs. robots in it.

Meant to be a friend for children and parents alike, Gemma (played by Allison Williams), a roboticist working for the toy company that created M3GAN, tries to put her M3GAN prototype to good use while taking care of her orphaned niece Cady (played by Violet McGraw). However, all that good use became a living nightmare as M3GAN began acting on its own and went berserk.

Moviegoers were right about this movie being a Child's Play faux simile because M3GAN stole Chucky's spotlight as the genocidal toy the world should watch out for. Although a mild PG-13 horror movie, M3GAN behaves like a Rated R horror movie with shocking results. Such suspense, thrills, and chills made M3GAN the next big thing in horror movies and it's going to join the ranks of other horror movie monsters.

As they said, move over, Chucky. M3GAN's the new horror movie doll you don't want to make friends with.

Halloween Ends

The terrifying standoff between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers has reached the bloodiest climax in the newest installment of the Halloween franchise and as the title implies, it all ends here.

Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends is the newest installment of the Halloween horror slasher movie franchise that is set after last year's Halloween Kills movie. In this movie, Laurie (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) faces a series of shocking new murders that ended her in the ultimate showdown between her and Myers. Whatever it takes, it all ends here.

The streets of Haddonfield aren't safe and prepared for this bloodiest climax of the saga because having enjoyed the most terrifying cat-and-mouse chase between Laurie and Myers since the first Halloween movie, it's a real bummer why they called it "Halloween Ends" because, for the horror fans, they just really wish this goes on forever, but for some, it's about damn time...hopefully.

About time, they said, because compared to the rest of the Halloween franchise, Halloween Ends delivers the ultimate thrill that will torture even the most faint-hearted viewers with the most terrifying Michael Myers moments ever witnessed in the history of the Halloween movies. Because this is claimed to be the climax of the franchise, the villainous slasher is in his grotesque final form and the final standoff between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers is worth the wait.

Ending one of the most terrifying horror movie franchises in history is a hard act to follow but Halloween Ends is a bloody reminder that this franchise left a massive slice in the world of horror movies and what happens after this movie is everyone's guess.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

2021 really is a big year in the Biohazard (Resident Evil) franchise apart from the fact that it's the franchise's 25th anniversary. They've launched the latest installment titled BIOHAZARD VILLAGE, which is no doubt the most terrifying Biohazard game ever made, as well as the Netflix original series titled Biohazard: Infinite Darkness. Topping off the franchise's silver anniversary is the live-action movie that promises to be as faithful as the first two games it was based on...or is it?

Resident Evil:
Welcome to Raccoon City

Welcome to Raccoon City marks the return of the Biohazard franchise at the movies and it promises not to be a show-off compared to the past Biohazard movies that are more action, some horror. Drawing inspiration from the first two games, Welcome to Raccoon City saw Chris and Claire Redfield trying to uncover the truth behind Raccoon City and the Umbrella Corporation. Chris and members of S.T.A.R.S. are infiltrating the mansion while Claire survives through the zombie-infested Raccoon City with the help of Leon S. Kennedy, a newbie cop whose first day is not what he called a welcoming one.

Every single element from the first two games is almost present in this film in addition to the zombies. From the Umbrella mercenaries, especially Hunk, the Lickers, the test subject named Lisa Trevor, even G. A fitting homage to the first two Biohazard games the world can't get enough of, although the movie feels a bit cheesy for a horror movie.

Yes, it's not massive for horror movie standards but for those who are fans of the Biohazard franchise, it's hard to explain what this movie is all about but either way, despite questionable results, Welcome to Raccoon City is the movie that really is the fitting piece of the franchise's silver anniversary.

Like it or not, if you are a true fan of the Biohazard franchise, be sure to enjoy this movie if you dare.

Halloween Kills

The 2018 return of Halloween ended with the masked slasher Michael Myers got engulfed in flames. Just as we thought this would be the last of him, but the killer's back from the blaze, and he's out for another killing spree. In this terrifying sequel to the 2018 Halloween movie, evil dies tonight.

Halloween Kills

With Jamie Lee Curtis reprising the role of Laurie Strode as well as Judy Greer as her daughter Karen and Andi Matichak as her granddaughter Allyson, the newest chapter of the Halloween horror movie saga saw the Strode family forming a mob with the first survivors of Michael Myers' terror in the hopes of bringing the masked killer down for good.

The sequel is as punishing and as gory as all of the Halloween films since the very beginning. When fear kicks in, you would really wish you had a mommy sitting alongside you in theaters because this is by no means one of the most terrifying movies to watch this season.

Once you've started watching it, there's no turning back until the movie ends so good luck surviving it. Actually, prepare for the worst because of whatever this horror movie throws at it.

Are you prepared to watch the newest and most terrifying Halloween movie to date? If so, be careful...

Candyman (2021 film)

Back in 1992, there was a cult classic horror film no one heard of called Candyman. It's about a graduate student who faced off against a terrifying figure as told by an urban legend. Fast forward to today and the terrifying slave spirit with a hook hand returns and this time, he's taking on the next generation of victims who dared to say his name five times.

Candyman (2021 film)

The terrifying slave spirit returns after almost three decades as the 2021 version of Candyman is ready to strike fear and despair to the moviegoers who dared to say it and see it from start to finish.

In this new version crafted by Jordan Peele, famed for the horror movie Us, set after the events of the original 1992 Candyman movie, a young man and his girlfriend began their new life in Cabrini and with his career on the brink, his fateful encounter with a mysterious person introduced him to the horrors of the legendary Candyman.

A cult classic horror movie from the early 90s no one knows to one of the most terrifying horror movies to watch this 2021, the legend really is real and it really is the spiritual sequel almost three decades in the making. While it incorporates new and terrifying ways to scare moviegoers straight, this movie delivers a bloodstained homage to the cult classic, a tribute to one of the most terrifying but forgotten horror movies of the 90s.

This is just like the return of the horror movie Halloween a few years ago and when you compare this to the rebooted Halloween movie, you can't really tell the difference. Either way, they're unforgiving and terrifying enough to punish moviegoers with extreme horrors that will leave them scarred for life.

The slave spirit that was once forgotten, now remembered by the new generation of horror movie fanatics. The new Candyman movie is proof that the legend is real and those who dared to say it and see it will have their final word on this spiritual sequel.

BIOHAZARD VII_I_AGE

For 25 years, the Biohazard (Resident Evil) franchise introduced gamers to the world of survival horror. From complex puzzles, terrifying monsters, powerful weapons, a memorable cast of characters, and complicated ways to survive, the pioneer of the survival horror genre keeps on evolving, and in honor of the franchise's 25th anniversary, a new terrifying installment has arrived and it's going to be the most unforgiving installment to date.

Biohazard Village (hereafter, it’s BIOHAZARD VIl_l_AGE because of the Roman numeral VIII on it, meaning eight) is the newest chapter of the Biohazard franchise and the most unforgiving installment ever made, daring players to survive through a mysterious new setting by all means necessary.

Set years after the Baker Mansion Incident from the previous game, Ethan and Mia Winters are living in a quiet life with their newborn daughter Rosemary when suddenly, Chris Redfield and his men raided their home, shot Mia to death, taken the baby away, and dragged Ethan to a faraway place. Now dragged to a new kind of hell, Ethan must survive through the Lycan-infested village to avenge Mia’s death and save his baby while a sinister group of villains led by Mother Miranda is watching his every move.

Back to being a first-person survival horror game, Village uses the tried-and-tested know-how from Biohazard 7 and expands it further to a terrifying new setting where villagers cower in fear, Lycans run amok, and terrifying new villains await your untimely demise.

As a game that is recommended to play on the newest consoles such as the PlayStation5 and the Xbox Series X, Village features near cinema-grade graphics that bring life to the terror it delivers. There’s so much to appreciate its dynamic graphics but that’s all there is.

Oh, and if you're playing it on a previous-gen console like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, you are eligible for a free upgrade when you got the newest generation consoles. Village really is a cross-gen Biohazard game for brave gamers from all walks of life.

As a proper survival horror game, Biohazard Village requires some serious tactics for players as they navigate through the horrors of the mysterious village, solving puzzles, surviving through nefarious swarms of Lycans, and more, requiring the right kind of items for the job at hand. How will you use them is up to you.

When things get rough, it’s good to know that Village brings back the shop feature where players will encounter a mysterious merchant named The Duke. If you see him, feel free to sell some treasures, buy items, refill some supplies, and upgrade your weapons. It’s just like the one from Resident Evil 4 in so many ways.

As part of the 25th-anniversary celebration, Biohazard Village players will have access to an online game titled Biohazard RE:VERSE, where players play as their favorite Biohazard heroes and villains in a no-holds-barred deathmatch where players get turned into a bioweapon and go all-out against the competition.

So, what do you think about Village? Yes, because this is by no means the most unforgiving installment ever made, expect your gameplay experience to be a lengthly one because of the puzzles to solve, Lycans to fend off, villains to take on, and a twisted storyline full of plot twists. Either way, unforgiving and lengthly is what a real survival horror is all about and Village really is the best 25th birthday present to the Biohazard franchise.

So, are you prepared to enter the village?

Peninsula (2020 film)

Four years ago, the monster zombie horror movie from South Korea, titled Train to Busan, became the most feared horror movie known the world over. So feared, it got nominated by international awards at that time. Fast forward to today, the true sequel to the international horror hit has arrived in the midst of the “new normal”.

Peninsula
Titled Peninsula, this newest action horror flick is set four years after the destruction caused in Train to Busan, where zombies plagued almost the entire South Korea, the world rather, revenants scouting for remains in this urban wasteland, survivors fighting to survive, and lunatics ruled the zombie-stricken world with an iron fist.

This is the first time South Korea showcased us their own take of a post-apocalyptic world in a Mad Max-esque kind of way and while getting struck to the dark, gritty, and raw setting caused from Train to Busan, Peninsula delivers the most intense, brutal, and manly thrills no other action film in Korea possess.

It is real, dark, raw, gritty, and if you spent the last four years rewatching the Train to Busan movie, this dark sequel will make you cave in to its destructive recipe for success and looks like the whole world’s going nuts over this film in the midst of the new normal.

With the post-apocalyptic setting worth remembering for the rest of every Koreans’ lives, because this is the kind of future they might meet due to recent happenings the world’s facing today, twisted storytelling that will leave them hanging for more, and insane thrills, Peninsula is definitely the must-watch summer flick in the new normal.

My rating: 4.8 out of 5

BIOHAZARD RE:3

Last year, fans of the BIOHAZARD (Resident Evil) survival horror game franchise got blown away into terror with RE:2, the remake of the 1998 hit installment, BIOHAZARD 2. Despite its terrifying success, many are left wondering if there will be a remake to BIOHAZARD 3: LAST ESCAPE (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis). Worry no more because the long-awaited remake of the third installment of the BIOHAZARD franchise has arrived and it completes the retelling of the Raccoon City saga while incorporating the same knowhow from last year's installment.

BIOHAZARD RE:3 (PS4)
Like the original BIOHAZARD 3 game, RE:3 is set prior to the events to the previous installment while incorporating new ways to play never applied to RE:2. It was September 28, 1998, months after the mansion incident, where all hell breaks loose in Raccoon City due to the T-Virus outbreak. S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine is pursued by a deadly bioweapon codenamed Nemesis as she tries to survive through the zombie nightmare. She then teams up with U.B.C.S. member Carlos Oliveira and then work their way to escape the hellhole they set foot by all means.

Just like last year's RE:2, RE:3 delivers the most fearsome experience in stunning detail courtesy of the RE ENGINE that powers it and while it delivers the same third-person perspective as last year's installment, RE:3 features new ways to survive the zombie attack. As Jill, you can side step to evade zombie attacks and if you get the right timing, you can execute the perfect dodge and better aim for a short period of time. Use your side steps wisely when you want to save some ammo for tougher fights and your life.

Also, there are materials that can be blown away when shot such as a barrel of gas, which is useful to blow away chunks of enemies, and power generators that can stun enemies around.

In addition to zombies and the familiar face we all know and feared, RE:3 features new creatures never seen in the original such as the Drain Deimos, the Hunter Gamma, the Ne-α parasite, and the Hunter Beta. Better watch out for these creatures impeding your progress.

As you progress through the story, you will gain new weapons and upgrade parts to power up your weapons such as the standard-issue handgun, the trusty shotgun, the ever-favorite grenade launcher, and more.

In later parts, you can play as Carlos as he's on the hunt for the scientist who holds the answer to this outbreak. While armed with an assault rifle, Carlos can execute a tackle to stun enemies and at the right time, he can trigger a cross punch attack. Put his abilities to good use!

When you think you had enough fun just because you finished the game on the first try, don't stop because there are plenty of challenges to complete and for every challenge completed, you'll earn points that you can spend on powerful items essential to your next gameplay. The easiest way to rake up some points you want for the rocket launcher with infinite ammo is focusing on the kill count challenges. Simple.

As RE:3 really is the much needed closure from last year's RE:2, there's more with this came from because when players bought the RE:3 game, they'll get access to the BIOHAZARD RESISTANCE multiplayer game. RESISTANCE is a 4 vs. 1 multiplayer game where four survivors work together to survive against hordes of monsters, with some unleashed by the mastermind. As a survivor, utilize on your signature abilities and then team up to survive all the way to the finish line. As a mastermind, meanwhile, it's up to you to make your opponents miserable by unleashing cards full of monsters, traps, and when necessary, a bioweapon. Each survivor has different abilities to master and each mastermind has a set of cards to make them more miserable.

The long awaited remake to the third BIOHAZARD game is no means one of the most thrilling survival horror games to play at times like this and with the addition of the RESISTANCE game, fans will love it even more. Enjoy playing RE:3 before that special someone comes to get you.

IT Chapter Two

The remake of the Stephen King classic horror movie IT forever stroke fear in the hearts of many moviegoers about a maniacal clown named Pennywise striking fear in the small city of Derry, Maine. Following the success of the unforgiving remake of the cult classic horror film, they made a sequel and this time, it's even more terrifying than the previous IT and once you see IT, there's no turning back.

IT Chapter Two

Set twenty seven years after the previous film, IT Chapter Two brings back the characters from the previous film now grown up as adults and even though they're all grown up, are they still brave enough to take on the wrath of Pennywise?

Even though the sequel is set almost three decades after the last film, the remake of course, it is still absolutely terrifying and unforgiving from start to finish because of the lengthy terror the unprepared no one saw it coming. With all the brutality, the mentality, and the reality movie goers will face, IT Chapter Two is definitely one of the most terrifying horror movies to watch this 2019 and it's a punishing one moviegoers will never forget even when they watch this to the very end. It really feels like Halloween comes early with this sequel and it's definitely not suitable for the faint-hearted.

Dare to watch the sequel that spells horror at IT's very best or worst.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Child's Play (2019 film)

The cult classic horror franchise about a killer toy on a rampage has been reborn for the new generation of fear and the 21st century take on Child's Play brings playtime to a terrifying new level as one of the most fearsome faces in horror movie history, the killer toy named Chucky, has been reborn for this century and man, his menace has been revived to reign down terror in the Summer movie season.

Child's Play (2019 film)

Starring Gabriel Bateman, Aubrey Plaza, and Mark Hamill lending his voice to the homicidal doll, Chucky, among many others, and directed by Lars Klevberg, the reborn Child Play follows the gruesome recipe as the 1988 original with some modern touches to it. It's about a family being terrorized by the doll that has an evil spirit inside. You get the point but there's no escaping from this terrifying toy so you'd better watch your backs.

Like the 1988 original, the new and modernized take on the cult classic horror film will never leave moviegoers alone until they are fully scared themselves, even the advertisers trying to scare them into watching this film just like every dark and gritty horror movie you know bombarding through social media. It just keeps chasing you just like Chucky himself and even if you survived watching the rest of the film, well, you get the point but still, all that horror, all that blood, and all that gore is what made Child's Play one of the most terrifying horror movies in history and this 21st century take really spells terror in the summer movie season with all of the gruesome moments everybody will talk about if they managed to survive through the end of the movie without a scratch.

Those who are interested to some dark and gritty horror movies that is as relevant as today's society should look no further than the reborn Child's Play but be warned because once you watched it, you will never have to look at the way toys are ever again.

My rating: 3.6 out of 5.

Hellboy (2019 film)

The cult classic action horror film about a superhero from hell has been reborn for this year as the 2019 remake of Hellboy surely wants to raise some hell in the Spring movie season and with that, there's something about what makes the 2019 Hellboy film different than the original Hellboy movie you saw over a decade ago.

Hellboy (2019 film)

Of course being a remake, the cast of the film needs to be all-new and with that, the reborn Hellboy movie stars David Harbour as Hellboy alongside Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Thomas Haden Church, among many others. It's directed by Neil Marshall and it's based on the cult classic graphic novel by Mike Mignola. This film sees the hero from Hell teaming up with some unlikely allies to battle against a powerful sorceress bent on taking over the world.

Although this film promises to stir some action thriller moments just like the original, this film is much more of a horror movie rather than a superhero movie because of the gory battle sequences where we get to see Hellboy spilling blood on his enemies one after another, giving it a much maligned reason why it was considered to be downright scary to watch but despite being scary, this new Hellboy movie is worthy to get the viewers' eyes glued from start to finish and when things get mad, this film truly shows its maddest self, making this one of the maddest films to watch in the Spring season.
