- Typhoon Ofel is threatening parts of Northern Luzon. According to PAGASA, the eye of the typhoon was spotted at a distance of 480 km East of Baler, Aurora. The typhoon is moving west-northwestward at a speed of 25 kph. The storm has sustained winds of up to 120 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 150 km/h.
