PAGASA warns that two to three typhoons may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in October.

- Amid the growing number of Chinese ships in Ayungin and Escoda Shoal in the West Philippine Sea, this still cannot be considered a naval blockade, according to the Philippine Navy.

- Implementation of penalties for drivers without RFID was postponed until January 2025, according to the PH Department of Transportation.

- Four women who say they were sexually abused by former Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed spoke to the BBC. Over 20 women told the BBC they were sexually assaulted by the late billionaire while five said they were raped. 

- Nearly 600 were killed in Lebanon in two days of Israeli strikes.

- US President Joe Biden says "full-scale war is not in anyone's interest" as Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu vows to continue the attack on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

- Longtime IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competitor Ramin Abdolvahabi passed away due to pancreatic cancer. Abdolvahabi was a co-driver with Rob Ecklin, Jr. in the No. 9 Stoner Car Care Aston Martin. He and Ecklin had just achieved their series goal – the Bronze class victory at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend – when Abdolvahabi was diagnosed.

- McLaren named former Red Bull official Will Courtenay as its sporting director.

- Japanese used motorcycle retailer Red Baron was acquired by US's Bain Capital to promote digital transformation. Red Baron has over 300 stores across Japan.
