- The AFP is reducing its subsistence allowance to donate to Typhoon Carina victims. “The AFP is extending its support to the victims of Typhoon Carina by donating the equivalent of one meal from their Subsistence Allowance, amounting to P50.00 per member,” according to AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr.

- Ten people were hurt following an explosion at the Courtyard Bldg. at Brgy. Pinaric, Legazpi City. The victims are currently hospitalized.

The opening of classes in over 700 schools across the Philippines has been postponed due to the effect of the habagat and Typhoon Carina.
