- China slams PH President Bongbong Marcos' speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. PBBM vows continuous support for strengthening the Philippine Navy while China's growing desperate over the West Philippine Sea issue.

- The Armed Forces of the Philippines has tightened security in all its camps nationwide. It is said to be a way to protect 'classified information' and 'critical infrastructure' against 'conventional' and 'unconventional security threats'.

- Claudia Sheinbaum became Mexico's first female president after winning the presidential election by a landslide, according to official projections.

- Earth witnessed an alignment of six out of eight planets in a rare phenomenon known as the parade of planets. Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn became visible to the naked eye about one hour before sunrise, Pacific Standard Time.

- Esteban Ocon announced his departure from Alpine after the F1 '24 season.
