- The AFP released footage showing the China Coast Guard brandishing knives, ramming ships, and using tear gas against Filipino soldiers. China says the CCG was "professional and restrained".

- Former PH Vice-President Leni Robredo will run for mayor in Naga City during next year's midterm elections.

- A magnitude 4.4 quake hits Lubang, Occidental Mindoro. According to PHIVOLCS, the 010km-deep quake was tectonic in origin. No aftershocks and damage are expected.

- The PH Department of Justice confirmed the CIDG arrest of former governor Pryde Henry Teves in Dumaguete City for his alleged involvement in terrorism. Teves' bail was set at 200,000 Pesos for his temporary freedom.

- Netizens are sharing photos of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo in 2018 and 2017 where her friends congratulate her every August 31. Senator Loren Legarda warns the authorities to find the other "Alice Guo" following the deepening investigation into the character of Mayor Guo. She needs to watch out for the infiltrators who have entered the society.

- The UK Supreme Court ruled that the Surrey council should have considered the climate impact of burning oil drilled from new wells in Horley, which was a landmark ruling that could end all future UK oil drilling.

- An officer from UK PM Rishi Sunak's close protection team was arrested and suspended over bets on the general election date. Meanwhile, the Gambling Commission is looking into a second Conservative candidate for allegedly placing a bet on the election date. It comes after a different Conservative candidate, Craig Williams, apologized for placing an election bet last week.
