Around 1421 hours local time, the MalacaƱang issued a statement about her resignation from her posts, effective July 19, 2024, in order to focus on her position as the Philippine Vice President.

- The Department of Foreign Affairs slams China's "illegal and aggressive actions" in the Ayungin Shoal incident. The AFP has awarded a medal to Seaman First Class Jeffery Facundo, the navy personnel whose finger was amputated by China's harassment during the resupply mission at the BRP Sierra Madre.
