Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is the next stop for the F1 2024 season with the AWS Grand Prix du Canada.
Amid the wet conditions, the action begins with George Russell leading off the line and into the first corner while Kevin Magnussen storms from P14 to P5 on Lap 2. Lap 7 saw Logan Sargeant skidding off at Turn 6 but returning to the race. As the weather gets fair, Max Verstappen is on the hunt against Geroge Russell for the lead, even when Verstappen goes off track on Lap 17 and is forced to hunt down Lando Norris instead.
Following Logan Sargeant's crash on Lap 25, Lando Norris pits under the Safety Car two laps later but loses his lead to Verstappen and ends up behind Russell too. As the race resumed on Lap 30, Verstappen, Norris, and Russell were still in the clash even at the halfway point. As Sergio Perez was forced to pit on Lap 53 due to a broken rear wing, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon got involved in a Lap 54 mess that triggered the safety car again. With the race only having 4 laps to go, Yuki Tsunoda spins and debris strewn everywhere.
