HOLD IT! Ensure you have already watched the episode before my quick review. Come back here when you have already watched it.

The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) are in 1813 England, enjoying the gala, wary of the faceless threats lurking among them. This is where a shadowy individual, an intergalactic bounty hunter named Rogue (played by Jonathan Groff) comes in.

As The Doctor and Rogue meet face-to-face, the two are dealing with the alien shapeshifters lurking around this era known as the Chuldur. However, Rogue thinks The Doctor is a Chuldur by pointing him at gunpoint and stepping into Rogue's spaceship while Ruby's busy making her impression with a young woman named Emily.

Trapped in Rogue's tri-form and facing the risk of getting thrown by Rogue to an unknown dimension, The Doctor reveals his true self by throwing his Psychic Paper to the deep scanner and revealing that he is a Time Lord, shocking Rogue.

After mutual understanding between the two, The Doctor and Rogue joined forces to bring down the Chuldur threats, and to do that, the two pulled their most attention-grabbing feat yet; dumping Rogue's engagement.

As the Chuldurs reveal their true faces, the two are pursued, finding a place to hide away from the Chuldurs while devising a way to trap them all. As for the traumatized Emily, Ruby revealed Emily the truth but shockingly, the Emily that Ruby befriended is actually a Chuldur and now, she wants Ruby!

With Chuldur Emily got Ruby, the Chuldurs unleashed their coup de grace until The Doctor confronts them head-on. With the Chuldurs trapped in the tri-form for a brief moment, Chuldur Ruby tries to convince The Doctor that she is the actual Ruby. Truth be told, the real Ruby Sunday fought Chuldur Emily and the real Chuldur Emily popped up.

As Rogue sent Chuldur Emily to the tri-form, The Doctor faced a risky situation; save the world and lose Ruby Sunday or save Ruby and bring the world to a ruin. However, there was a third way to do it. After a farewell kiss, Rogue sacrificed himself by swapping himself with Ruby Sunday from the tri-form. Rogue says to The Doctor "Find me" as he hits the switch, sending the Chuldurs and Rogue himself into the unknown.

The episode ends with The Doctor using his Sonic Screwdriver to send Rogue's spaceship around the orbit as he and Ruby's about to leave 1813 England. The Doctor kept Rogue's ring in the hopes of finding him one day.

This Doctor Who episode is something that Bridgerton should be putting in its water supply; killer aliens on the loose, a gay outer-space bounty hunter, and of course, the duo we know.

Bridgerton jokes aside, the introduction of the character Rogue is one of the most interesting Whoniverse characters that ever emerged since Captain Jack Harkness. Seeing the two get to know each other is true as what The Doctor's malfunctioning Psychic Paper said, it's hot, and the parting kiss scene at the climax is worth watching again even a thousand times. The whole Whoniverse community just can't get enough of it.

Sure, Rogue may be thrown off to an unknown dimension alongside Chuldur threats by his own tri-form but because of what he said, there's a glimmering chance of meeting him again in the Whoniverse. You can count on him.

Apart from Jonathan Groff's performance as the intergalactic bounty hunter Rogue, a familiar face makes her appearance in this episode. No, this isn't about the usual Susan Twist-related appearance just like every episode this season, it's Indira Varma. You know? She's the twice-killed Torchwood agent Suzie Costello a long time ago. With Varma popped back into the Whoniverse as The Duchess / one of the Chuldurs, feels like she kinda missed the Whoniverse a lot. This is why she wants to go back to the Whoniverse as a special guest star.

There you have it, a familiar Whoniverse face returns, a gay character making his appearances, alien shapeshifters, and a few Bridgerton jokes Ruby blurted out. That's Rogue to you.

With only two episodes left this season, it won't be long until The Doctor and Ruby figure out why there's always a Twist everywhere. Could it be "the one who waits" that Maestro warned? Whatever happens, brace yourselves for the endgame...
