HOLD IT! Ensure you have already watched the episode before my quick review. Come back here when you have already watched it.

It's a typical day in Finetime, a lively metropolis sealed inside the barrier where people rely on a tiny device for directions and communications called the Dot and the Bubble, and for Lindy Pepper-Bean (played by Callie Cooke), it's just another day until she gets remotely contacted by none other than The Doctor, warning her that danger is near. Lindy ignored The Doctor's warning.

Moments later, Lindy was contacted by Ruby Sunday, who tried convincing her of an imminent danger. Ruby and The Doctor were right, meaning all that's left for Lindy is to escape. Sadly, getting away without the Dot and Bubble for directions is difficult.

Lindy encountered the monster that Ruby and The Doctor warned about but the monster ignored her mysteriously. Having left the flat, with no one helping her except The Doctor and Ruby remotely communicating with her, Lindy witnessed the horrors of Finetime citizens getting eaten alive and now forced into hiding, telling The Doctor and Ruby some info about Finetime.

As Lindy began group-chatting her close friends, she noticed some of her close friends went offline and one got eaten alive. Desperate, The Doctor told Lindy an escape route leading her to an underground tunnel from Plaza 55.

With Lindy's Dot ran out of power, she's on the move towards Plaza 55, where the escape tunnel is located. Surrounded by monsters, a mysterious male is aiding Lindy safely. The mysterious male turned out to be Ricky September and together, the two are heading to Plaza 55.

Inside Plaza 55, Lindy found a charging dock for her Dot to charge its batteries while Ricky noticed something wrong with Homeworld. With the two arriving at the tunnel and communications with The Doctor and Ruby re-established, Ricky began inputting the keycodes to open the tunnel.

Things get uglier when The Doctor reveals the shocking truth about how the Finetime citizens got eaten alive. It is revealed that the monsters are eating the citizens in alphabetical order and Lindy's next. Worse, the Dot is turning against Lindy. As Ricky tries to battle the Dot, Lindy inputs the remaining codes until the sequence is complete. Sadly, Lindy becomes a backstabber by having the Dot kill Ricky by revealing his real name while Lindy makes her escape.

Lindy finally met up with the other evacuees as well as The Doctor and Ruby. As the evacuees began leaving Finetime, The Doctor persuaded Lindy and others to hop aboard the TARDIS for safety. Sadly, Lindy refused. Following Lindy's refusal, The Doctor angrily returned to the TARDIS, ending this episode.

The only means to escape is to keep moving forward. This is what the "Dot and Bubble" episode is all about and Lindy learned the hard way apart from being a backstabber.

This episode of Doctor Who is a morality play about what happens when people become overly reliant on technology. The hidden dangers are revealed when the technology turns against them. The moral of the story is that people need to learn how to move backward and hug each other.

In this episode, Susan Twist makes another appearance, this time as Lindy's mom from Homeworld. Unfortunately, she gets eaten alive by the monsters. I wonder where this suspicious "person of Whoniverse interest" will turn up next.

Still, the end of the episode made The Doctor learn the hard way that "he can't save them all" as demonstrated by Lindy's refusal to be with him. It's a cruel mantra. Sometimes you can save them, sometimes you can't. It's the Whoniverse, after all. Circle of life, they said.
