It's the first Sunday of summer 2024, and the Watkins Glen racetrack is hosting Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen, the first in the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Even the heavy rainfall that brought the race to a temporary halt couldn't stop this race from sending the message that the summer racing season is here. This six-hour multi-class endurance race is going to get the summer started right.

What a race! It was such a nail-biter, but the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 was the last car standing at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen this weekend. A major congrats to the team for this well-deserved win. Fans are also pumped for the #88 Richard Mille AF Corse ORECA LMP2 07, the #23 Heart of Racing Vantage GT3 EVO, and the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 for their wins in their respective classes. This race is the perfect way to kick off the summer season.
The next race is the Chevrolet Grand Prix in Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this July 12-14.
