- Philippine President Bongbong Marcos said there will be no extension of consolidation order for PUV operators. Marcos held a meeting with transport officials where they concluded the deadline would not be stretched.

- Former PH Supreme Court senior associate justice Antonio Carpio said that the expulsion of the Chinese ambassador Huang Xilian amid escalating Beijing intimidations in the West Philippine Sea would be an “extreme measure".

- Fury at the COP28 as the promise of "phasing out" fossil fuels was removed from the draft deal.

- Polish legislators give Donald Tusk, who heads a pro-European Union coalition, the mandate for a new government.

- A Texas woman who filed a lawsuit to get an emergency abortion said she left the state to have the procedure.

- A Japanese court convicts three ex-soldiers of sexually assaulting a female colleague who detailed abuse on YouTube. The verdict comes after Rina Gonoi, age 24, caused a public outburst and worldwide attention when she unfolded her story on YouTube last year.

- Three teenagers were killed and two were hurt when a car and a bus crashed in southern Wales. Two young men aged 18, and one aged 19, were declared dead at the scene.

- The Mercedes-AMG SL63 S E Performance was unveiled. Armed with the AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with an AMG Electric Drive Unit, it produces 600kw of power and 1420Nm of torque. Mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G, it can sprint from 0-100kph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 317kph with an available extra.

- The Netflix original anime Blue Eye Samurai was renewed for a second season.

- Guinness becomes the title partner of both men's and women's Six Nations rugby championship beginning with the 2024 season.

- Basketball player Ja Morant took the stand in Memphis and said he acted in self-defense when he punched a teenager at his home in July of last year. Morant, testifying during the first day of an immunity hearing at Shelby County Circuit Court, said he "swung first" at Joshua Holloway, then 17, "to protect myself" during an altercation that led to Holloway filing a lawsuit in September 2022 that accused Morant of assault.

- Shohei Ohtani's 700-million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers has 680 million dollars in deferred money, according to reports. The deferred money will be paid to Ohtani between 2034 and 2043.

- Singer Nicki Minaj addresses her controversial COVID-19 vaccine claims from 2021. Minaj, who said a friend of a cousin experienced "swollen testicles" as a side effect of the vaccine, also addressed why she doesn't talk about politics in a recent Vogue cover story.
