The F1 2023 season continues with the Gran Premio de la Ciudad de Mexico and the three-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen is rewriting history yet again.
As the lights went off, the action in Mexico was on with Sergio Perez's attack on Charles Leclerc backfiring when his car went flying off the track during the opener. As Lewis Hamilton makes bold moves in Lap 11, so does Verstappen's post-Lap 20 pit stop. However, come Lap 33, Kevin Magnussen badly crashed the car and the red flag was triggered, temporarily halting the race.
As the race restarts, Lap 49 saw disaster for Yuki Tsunoda following contact with Oscar Piastri at Sector 1 followed by Valtteri Bottas sending Lance Stroll spinning as the race nears its end.
