The fight for the final 8 concludes as the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs return to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Bank of America ROVAL 400. Who will survive? Who will fall? Let's find out.
As the green flag waved, it was Judgment Day at Charlotte Motor Speedway as the elimination battle was on with a special appearance by DTM driver Mike Rockenfeller. As Tyler Reddick won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw Josh Bilicki spun by Corey LaJoie in turn 4, followed by Denny Hamlin spinning in the front chicane from 21st and getting hit by Mike Rockenfeller himself. As Chase Elliott wins Stage 2, the climax becomes a do-or-die fight for Kyle Busch as he tries to fight his way to the top in order to survive the playoffs.
Sadly, Busch failed and a non-playoff driver crossed the checkered flag.

That's right. A non-playoff driver crossed the checkered flag and that's Allmendinger himself. AJ Allmendinger wins the Bank of America ROVAL 400 of the NASCAR Cup Series! Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch are officially eliminated from the playoffs.
With Byron, MTJ, Hamlin, Larson, Buescher, Bell, Reddick, and Blaney remaining, the attention shifts to the fight for the Championship 4. Who will make it to the grand finale in Phoenix? Find out as the fight for the Championship 4 begins in Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400 this October 15th.
