My FH5 Log: How to use EventLab Island

So, you're in your last days of Forza Horizon 5, and with the entire race events dominated starting from the Horizon Mexico, Hot Wheels, and Rally Adventure, you feel like you've got nothing to do while spending the twilight of your adventures. Fortunately, there's a better way to spend your last days of Horizon Mexico before heading back to proper circuit racing.

Forza Horizon 5's recent series update, Horizon Creatives, introduces players to EventLab 2.0, which features new and easy ways to create your own races, especially potential Super7 challenges. It even introduces a new location called EventLab Island.

What is EventLab Island? The EventLab Island is a massive empty area consisting of a 2km x 2km flat concrete platform surrounded by ocean. This empty concrete island is the perfect area to keep your imagination running.

To access EventLab Island, pause the game, go to Creative Hub, and select Travel To EventLab Island. Say Yes. It will send you to EventLab Island, an empty area where you will make your next adventures.

To create a race at the EventLab Island area, approach the "EventLab Island" marker, press the View button (X for those in the Automatic setting), and select Create Route.

Of course, you may be familiar with how to make a race in my earlier post but EventLab 2.0 comes with new features such as Selection Mode, Prefabs, and Custom Flyers.

In addition to new additional objects, some existing objects have gained attachment nodes so you can connect them at ease. You can even change what kind of checkpoint markers will be as well as setting exact time-of-day and weather conditions to see what your creations will look like in set conditions.

To use Selection Mode, press the R joystick while in Blueprint Builder mode. Press the A button to select an object or hold the A button for Sphere Selection. You can select up to 100 objects. Selected objects can be saved by pressing the Y button. They're called Prefabs and you can even share them with other players or use one of theirs.

If you're done creating a race, you can either make a custom flyer to represent your creation. At the EventLab settings, you can select Custom Flyer and take a picture of your creation.

Now that you're familiar with EventLab 2.0 and the new EventLab Island area, allow me to introduce one of my EventLab Island creations.

One of my EventLab Island creations is a slalom race where you will weave through trucks in this NLEX-inspired expressway. My Yumekawa-fied Mini JCW GP will serve as my guinea pig for one of my EventLab Island creations and I hope you'll like it too. Care for a sample? Roll the tape.

If you enjoyed my creation here's the Share Code for this creation:

The EventLab 2.0 and the new EventLab Island area are proof that your fun at Horizon Mexico keeps on going until the very end thanks to the games masters who are keeping the party alive.

Here's to looking forward to trying out most of the creations curated by the so-called Games Masters themselves thanks to this update but for now, let's enjoy the final days of Forza Horizon 5 before heading over to the all-new Forza Motorsport this October.

Bon Voyage!
