The F1 2023 season continues in Suzuka for the Lenovo Japanese Grand Prix and despite losing their winning streak in Singapore, it's not over for Red Bull because they're aiming for its sixth constructor's championship title. All they need is for the current leader and potential title defender Max Verstappen to win the race.
As the lights went out, the Japanese Grand Prix was on with Lando Norris and Max Verstappen fencing at each other until Alex Albon got clattered at the start, triggering a safety car in the process until Lap 5. Five laps later, Valtteri Bottas is out of the race following contact with Logan Sargeant. As Sergio Perez sent Kevin Magnussen spinning in Lap 12, Perez was forced to retire three laps later, leaving the team champion hopes to Verstappen who is currently leading the race.
With Lance Stroll and Alex Albon out of the race, Sergio Perez made his comeback on Lap 40 as the Mercedes and McLaren drivers went into a heated battle for the podium spots.

Max Verstappen wins the Japanese Grand Prix, earning Red Bull the right to claim its sixth constructor's championship title while McLaren scored their podium finishes with Lando Norris and, for the first time, Oscar Piastri.
With Red Bull nailing its constructor's championship title, will Verstappen defend his world champion title with just six races left this season? The next race is at Lusail for the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix this October 8th.
