As the green flag waved, the first elimination match of the 2023 playoffs began with the opening stage saw Austin Cindric sustain damage after contact with AJ Allmendinger while Kevin Harvick dropped to 28th place. As Christopher Bell won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw the whole race on red flag due to rainfall but as the race resumed, it was another stage win for Bell while William Byron and Denny Hamlin secured their spots at the Round of 12. In the final stage, it's a disaster when the #7 car slides back into traffic, and four cars get into the mess, including Joey Logano. With Christopher Bell and Brad Keselowski clinched spots in the Round of 12, Hamlin is leading the race.
