The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series continues at Watkins Glen, New York for the Go Bowling at The Glen, and with numerous twists and turns, not to mention some special appearances by DTM driver Mike Rockenfeller, this race saw some drivers locked in their playoffs position as the climax of the regular season draws near.
As the green flag waved, the action at the Glen is on with the first stage saw the #99 car experiencing early issues as Daniel Suarez exits the bus stop while Michael McDowell and William Byron are picking up right where they left off. With McDowell winning Stage 1 despite being imposed with a pass-through penalty for driving through too many boxes, Stage 2 belongs to Byron. The final stage saw Chase Elliott running out of fuel at the bus stop not to mention a last-lap incident between Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon.
