The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix has been given the biggest overhaul in over a decade featuring an all-new street course set in the streets of Detroit, giving IndyCar veterans and rookies more of a challenge tackling through this new Detroit playhouse.
As the green flag waved, the reborn Detroit action is on with an opening disaster for Callum Illot as a collision with Kyle Kirkwood pushed him out of the race. As the race resumed, plenty of drama occurred with Pato O'Ward crashing out of the race at Turn 9 on Lap 43, Sting Ray Robb going out of bounds on Lap 49, Romain Grosjean's collision course in Lap 82, David Malukas on Lap 87, and climactic drama between Santino Ferucci and Sting Ray Robb on Lap 92.

Although this is known to be the Chevrolet Grand Prix, a driver of the Honda-powered IndyCar managed to spoil the party as Alex Palou nicked his second win of the season followed by Will Power and Felix Rosenqvist.
After Detroit, Palou is leading with 219 points, 20 points ahead of Marcus Ericsson, while Pato O'Ward remains 3rd with 185 points.
The next race will be the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America this June 18th.
