- The Bureau of Internal Revenue has won the one-billion-peso tax collection case against the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), as ordered by the Court of Tax Appeals.

- Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo welcomed Canada's visa-free policy for Filipinos entering the country.

- An attack on a major Russian-held dam in southern Ukraine forced the evacuation of 17,000 people as the attack unleashed a torrent of water that flooded two dozen villages.

- Four people were reportedly killed when an M4.9 quake rattled western Haiti.

- Iran has re-opened its embassy in Saudi Arabia after a thaw in relations.

- Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has recently joined the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race.

- A prolific cybercrime gang, thought to be based in Russiahas issued an ultimatum to victims of the mass hack that's affected many large organizations around the globe including the BBC, British Airways, and Boots. The cybercrime gang called Clop issued the ultimatum to the victims of the MOVEit hack to e-mail them until June 14th or they will start posting sensitive data online. Experts urged the public not to panic and not to respond to such e-mails.

- Seven people were shot during a graduation ceremony in Richmond, Virginia.

- Toyota showcased its Prius 24h Le Mans Centennial GR Edition concept ahead of this weekend's 24 Hours of Le Mans race. It is based on the current-generation Prius and it features an aero package, a wider track, and a carbon bonnet hood.


- The K-Pop boy group SEVENTEEN is re-releasing eight out-of-print albums.

- The PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and LIV Golf League have agreed to unify and move forward in a larger commercial business. The tours called the development "a landmark agreement ... on a global basis."

- TV network ABC has defeated the COVID vaccine lawsuit from sacked "General Hospital" actor Ingo Rademacher.

- HBO has canceled the Perry Mason TV series after two seasons.

- The legendary TVJ trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon has officially transferred to TV5, days after their controversial exit to Eat Bulaga. The move was confirmed by Mediaquest president and CEO Jane Basas. "I'm happy that Tito, Vic, and Joey will now call TV5 their home," Basas said in the statement.
