- The World Health Organization announced the end of the COVID-19 global health emergency. 20 million people are likely to have died of COVID during the last three years.
- The Vatican expressed concern about the number of people who say they're communing with the Virgin Mary.
- The suspect behind the recent shooting in a village near Belgrade, Serbia which killed eight people, days after a school shootout that killed nine people, was arrested. The suspect wore a pro-Nazi shirt but his motives remain unclear. The killings came a day after a 13-year-old boy used his father's gun to kill eight students and a guard at a school in Belgrade.
- Boxer Gervonta Davis avoided jail time in a criminal hit-and-run case in Baltimore. Instead, he was placed under house arrest for 90 days and three years of probation for the November 2020 hit-and-run that hurt four people, including a pregnant woman. He was also given 200 hours of community service.
- The TV series SWAT was canceled after six seasons.
- Fox canceled Call Me Kat after three seasons.
- Marvel paused filming for the new Blade movie following the ongoing writer's strike.
