The TNT Tropang Giga and the Barangay Ginebra locked themselves in an epic best-of-7 finale to determine who will be the champions of the PBA 47th season Governors' Cup.
Both teams trade fire in the name of winning this season's title with TNT leading 3-2 after their Game 5 campaign against Ginebra last Wednesday, the Game 6 showdown between the two prize-fighting teams will determine if it's one more or no more.
The first half saw Ginebra gaining a slight lead over TNT at the score of 51-48, but when the second half kicked in, it was do-or-die for the TNT Tropang Giga as they're throwing everything they've got to bring down the now-legendary team that brought down a foreign basketball team early this year.
After a thrilling match that rocked Smart Araneta Coliseum, the TNT Tropang Giga has successfully defeated Barangay Ginebra at a razor-thin score of 97-93. Mikey Williams was named MVP after scoring 38 points throughout the game while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson net 27 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and two steals, enough for the team to nail their ninth PBA championship title, a first for the team in the Governor's Cup. An act of revenge against Ginebra after being defeated three years ago in the bubble.
