Continuing my Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure progress, I've been given a choice to take on the remaining two of the three teams now that I've cleared most of the Grit Reapers rally events.
Should I go for the dirt-focused Horizon Raptors or the road-focused Apex Predators? Seeing there's plenty of dirt action left after my stormy outlook with the Reapers, I've gone for the Raptors. Kinda weird that I decided to leave the road-focused ones last.
With the Raptors my next target, it's time to drive like it's the end of 2012 when rallying was introduced in the world of Forza back in the original Forza Horizon.
Much to the annoyance of classic car enthusiasts around the festival, I'm using some of the old cars from the FH5 DLC Car Catalog and giving them a heroic fighting chance.
The Renault 8 Gordini, the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler, the Lamborghini Espada, the Oldsmobile Toronado, the Foxbody Ford Mustang SVO, a Mexican-made Volkswagen pickup, and the Mazda Familia GT-R are all subjected to torturous tasks to survive Horizon Raptors' rally events. As they said, old cars are destined to be scraped but will they survive the punishment? Send in the tapes.
Although battered and bent like most old cars, they've managed to survive the dirtiest rally stages the Raptors are throwing at them.
With the old cars serving their purpose in the dirt, looks like I have one last team left to challenge; the Apex Predators. Their challenges look pretty much like a piece of yellowcake to me, I think, but will I manage to survive and win their challenges?
I have selected another batch of seven shamed faces from the FH5 DLC Car Catalog to rip through the Predators' rally events. With the 997 911 Sport Classic, 991 911 Speedster, F-150 SVT Lightning, Golf VII R minor change, RS3 8V Sedan, Magnum SRT-8, and the MG XPower SV-R loaded up and ready to roll, it's time to show the Apex Predators who's the...apex predator. Huhehe... Anyway, no time for bad jokes, let's go.
Although asphalt driving's my specialty in this game, the rally setting kinda reminds me of a certain...vanishing point. Wait, what? Anyway, with the cars of shame making their way through the vanishing point, looks like I've completed most of the Apex Predators events.
With the Raptors, Predators, and the Reapers' events taken care of, all that's left now are the boss battles. Am I tough enough to defeat the three team bosses and fight my way toward the Badlands Goliath where the keys to the F-150 Lightning are at stake?
Tune in again next time. Same Horizon Mexico, Same Rally Adventure.
