- US journalist Evan Gershkovich appeared for the first time in weeks in the Russian court to appeal against detention after he was charged with espionage.

- Andrew Lester, an 84-year-old man in Missouri who allegedly shot a black teen named Ralph Yarl for knocking at the wrong door, was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action after he turned himself in.

- Netflix is rolling out its controversial password-sharing limit in the US this 2nd quarter of the year and it will shut down its DVD rental service after 25 years. The controversial new policy states that all devices using a single Netflix account must be associated with one singular primary location that it will verify through mandatory logins to the same Wi-Fi connection every 31 days while prompting secondary users from other locations to register for their own account or for a second account. Subscribers can request a temporary code for in-transit devices for a week and can add up to two secondary users who reside outside of the account's primary location for an additional cost.

- The fifth-generation Renault Clio received a minor change for the 2024 model year.

- The father of MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon passed away.

- The death of singer Aaron Carter last November has been ruled an accident, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner. Autopsy reports revealed that the singer's death was caused by drowning and the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam.
