My FH5 Log: RZR Heads

The Polaris RZR lineup of UTVs is known to be one of the game-changers in the UTV industry because of the power, suspension, and agility built for any terrain. Of course, Horizon veterans may remember the time they took the RZR XP 1000 in a showcase event against a blimp back in Horizon Australia several years ago.

That was the old RZR XP 1000 EPS, the one that brought down the blimp back in Australia a few installments ago. The producers have brought us something sharper than this and it was obtainable from Forza Horizon 5's Horizon Wilds Takeover Dry Season Playlist.

This is the RZR PRO XP, the multi-terrain variant of the Polaris RZR line of side-by-sides but this is the ultimate multi-terrain side-by-side as Polaris states.

Hailed as the most versatile and capable RZR, the Pro XP delivers precision acceleration within the 20-50mph range when needed, as well as high ground clearance, tight turn radius in any terrain, and maximum control thanks to its 64-inch stance, turbocharged 1.0L petrol engine producing 181HP of power, and 22-inches of usable travel. It even has a one-piece steel chassis and CVT that is 39% stronger compared to the other RZR models.

Taking a spin with the Pro XP, it seems that the folks from Polaris aren't lying about its capabilities because of its computer-controlled suspension and Dynamix 2.0 system that made it capable of handling various terrains like it means it. For a UTV with such strengths, this is a top rank, although it wasn't really the top rank of the Polaris RZR range.

Speaking of top rank, let's see if the RZR Pro XP is the real deal, and with that, I'm going to compare this to the RZR XP 100 while making a ruckus at a seaside resort. Don't try this at home, kids.

After their riot at the resort, here are the results;

RZR XP 1000 - 1:49.359
RZR Pro XP - 1:40.501

So, even though the RZR Pro XP wasn't really the alpha of the RZR lineage, its all-around speed and performance really made the RZR Pro XP class-leading in its own right. It really is the UTV equivalent of the Porsche 911 GT3...in my mind.

Anyway, with the RZR Pro XP showcasing its worth, looks like it's ready for the upcoming Rally Adventure. Sierra Nueva, just wait and see what the sharpest RZR can do. Here we go!
