After Hyderabad and Cape Town, another new venue made its Formula E debut for the Gen 3 era; it's Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the first-ever Sao Paulo ePrix. As Brazil is now back in the safe hands of a pro-democracy leader who promises to turn Brazil into a green nation, the Sao Paulo ePrix is the fitting start to the nation's net-zero ambitions. Anyway, the race...
As the lights went off, the first Formula E race in Brazil is underway with an opening chaos at Turn 1. Six laps later, Jean-Eric Vergne made a quantum leap through seven places while Sam Bird made bold moves. As Stoffel Vandoorne and Nick Cassidy make progress, it's heartbreak for Antonio Felix Da Costa as a lock-up sent him out of the race. With four laps added at the end of the race, here comes a new race leader.

After Brazil, Pascal Wehrlein leads with 86 points while Jake Dennis is in 2nd place with 62 points and Nick Cassidy's now a point behind Dennis.
The next race will be the two-part Berlin ePrix this April 22-23.
