The 2023 season of the Supercars Championship marked the beginning of the Gen3 era of Australia's premier touring car racing series. The Camaro-Mustang rivalry has arrived in the Land Down Under in the form of their newest Supercars racing machines.
The streets of Newcastle are the first battleground of the Gen3 ers. The true beginning of the new age of Supercars racing as the newly evolved racing machines flex their muscles while delivering classic Supercars action fans loved.

In the first race of the Gen3 era, it seems that the Mustang side has drawn first blood as Cam Waters got promoted to 1st place after Red Bull's 1-2 finish was revoked following a disqualification decision due to technical violations for both Shane Van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney. In Race 2, however, it's payback time for SVG as he defeated Chaz Mostert to score his first Gen3 win as a Camaro driver.
The next event is the Beaurepaires Melbourne SuperSprint this March 30 - April 2.
