Your daily round-up of today's news:

- The Philippines protested the latest "aggressive activities" of the Chinese Coast Guard against a Philippine Coast Guard vessel which was at the receiving end of a "blinding" laser light off Ayungin Shoal.

- The PBBM administration has named Carlos Primo Constantino David as undersecretary of the Department of Natural Resources.

- The death toll from last week's M7.8 earthquake that struck the Turkiye-Syria border hits 36,000.

- Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko says Russian athletes must denounce war if they are willing to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

- Three people were killed and five were hurt when a gunman opened fire inside Michigan State University before escaping from the scene, according to police. It's the latest of rampant gun violence plaguing American schools.

The F1 Academy all-female racing category adds Carrie Schreiner to the inaugural season's driver roster. Schreiner will be representing the ART Grand Prix racing team.

- The RAM 1500 REV was unveiled. The production version of the concept vehicle was showcased last month and it will go on sale this 2024.

- The second-generation Perodua Alza was unveiled. The new model now runs on a DNGA platform and it's powered by a 1.0L NA engine mated only to a CVT.

- TOEI unveiled the cast of the 2023 Super Sentai Series installment, Oh-sama Sentai King-Ohger. The 2023 Super Sentai installment stars Taisei Sakai as Gira/Kuwagata Ohger, Aoto Watanabe as Gust Yanma/Tonbo Ohger, Erika Murakami as Ran Himeno/Kamakiri Ohger, Yuzuki Hirakawa as Kanisuka Rita/Papillon Ohger, and So Kaku as Dbouski Kaguragi/Hachi Ohger. The series airs this March 5th on TV Asahi.

- Damar Hamlin talks about his recovery and the trauma from his cardiac arrest during a January 2 game, saying it "could have been the last of me" and also said his potential return to the NFL is "a tough situation" following the incident.

- The Anti-Defamation League released a new report on the impact of Kanye West's anti-Semitic statements as the Jewish NGO compiled a timeline of incidents that are inspired by or related to the musician's public outbursts.
