This is the first time the Six Nations championship kicked off following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last year. The 2023 season is off with a flying start with matches such as Wales v Ireland, England v Scotland, and Italy v France.

Focusing on the match between the WRU and the IRFU, Ireland's off to a flying start as Josh van der Flier's try delivered a huge upset against Wales at the score of 34-10. Despite the return of Warren Gatland as the WRU's head coach, it seems that Ireland's too strong for Wales.
Following the WRU v IRFU match, the England Rugby team was defeated by Scotland at the score of 29-23 while the France Rugby team beats the F.I.R. at a close-call score of 29-24.
The next match kicks off on the 11th of February with the IRFU v France Rugby, Scotland v WRU, and on the next day, England Rugby v F.I.R. Italia.
