- New Zealand Jacinta Ardern says she will step down this early February.

- Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva has said government intelligence did not exist before the storming of government buildings 10 days ago. Supporters of right-wing predecessor Jair Bolsonaro have stormed government buildings in Brasilia.

- Peruvian police have fired tear gas in clashes with anti-government protestors in the capital city of Lima. Protestors demand President Dina Boluarte step aside and called for fresh elections as well as the release of Pedro Castillo.

- UN peacekeeping forces in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo have found dozen of bodies in mass graves.

- France is facing a day of strikes and protests against President Emmanuel Macron's plans to reform the pension system. The government wants to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, but two-thirds of the population were against the change.

- Aston Martin unveiled the DBS 770 Ultimate, the final version of the DBS Superleggera with an upgraded 5.2L V12 Twin Turbo engine producing 770PS of power. Only 300 coupes and 199 convertibles will be made and they're all sold out prior to its unveiling.


- The Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class range has been given a minor change for the 2024 model year.



- Shell has purchased the US-listed Volta EV charging network for $169 million.

- Actor Julian Sands was reported missing while hiking in California's San Gabriel Mountains last weekend.

- Horror movie M3GAN is reportedly getting a sequel this 2025.
