- The US jury has convicted a leader of the Oath Keepers militia and its members of seditious conspiracy to overthrow Joe Biden's 2020 presidential election win.
- The US Senate has passed a bill that aims to protect same-sex marriage following concerns that the Supreme Court could seek to overturn the 2015 ruling.
- Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell became the latest politician to condemn Donald Trump's meeting with a white supremacist, saying that antisemitism and white supremacy have no room in the Republican party after Trump posted Nick Fuentes for dinner at his Florida home.
- The governor of Hawaii says there's no imminent threat to residents following the eruption of the world's biggest active volcano. Fountains of lava have been spewing from Mauna Loa which started erupting last Sunday for the first time in nearly four decades. The lava was flowing away from residential areas and did not currently pose any risk to the property.
- TOEI announced the 20th installment of the PreCure franchise airing this 2023, titled Hirogaru Sky! Precure.
- Seiyuu Ami Maeshima will be stepping down from the role of Bang Dream's Aya Maruyama and D4DJ's Ibuki Niijima, Bushiroad announced.
- The CEO of Hook Entertainment released an official apology and promises to take responsibility for the issue involving Lee Seung Gi's payment.
- Rain denies reports of him stepping down from the CEO role of his company and transferring his agency's boy group Ciipher to another agency.
