Interlagos is the penultimate stop of the F1 22 season with the Heineken Grande Premio de Sao Paulo and following George Russell's win at the F1 Sprint segment, looks like the Mercedes newcomer's showing his full potential in Brazil.
As the lights went off, the penultimate race of the season is on with Daniel Ricciardo and Kevin Magnussen colliding in the middle sector during the opening lap. As the race restarted on Lap 7, Lewis Hamilton made contact with champion-elect Max Verstappen, forcing the latter to pit in for repairs, while Lando Norris caused Charles Leclerc to hit the wall. With Verstappen and Norris getting slapped with a five-second penalty, it's everybody's game now.
As the race draws nearer to its climax, Lando Norris threw in the towel at Lap 53 after his car suffered mechanical failures. As the race resumes, the two Mercedes drivers are on the verge of pulling off their first win of the season with George Russell in the lead.
