- Masked gunmen in the Mexican state of Guerrero have killed the town mayor, his father, and at least 16 others in the double attacks on his home and at town home.
- North Korea's foreign ministry said that the recent missile launch was in response to the ongoing US-South Korea military drills.
- Japanese filmmaker Toru Kubota was sentenced to 10-year imprisonment for sedition and violating an electronic communications law in Myanmar. Kubota was detained while filming a protest against the junta.
- Australian company mycar introduces R-plates to help drivers back on the road after a road trauma.
- Ford unveiled the final edition of the Ford GT supercar, the LM edition, before production ends at the end of this year. Limited to 20 units, the GT LM Edition features a choice of red or blue carbon fiber on the exterior and blue or red accents in the interior.
- The Mercedes-Benz A-Class range was given a minor change for the 2023 model year, featuring a redesigned exterior and the new MBUX among many others.
- Alpine unveiled the A110 R, a stripped-off, race-focused version which drops the weight to 1,082kg. Along with the 300PS 1.8L turbocharged engine and new aerodynamics, it's capable of going from 0-100kph in 3.9 seconds.
- Rapper Ice Cube says that Warner Bros. rejected two of his scripts for a new "Friday" sequel.
