After two years, the Japanese Grand Prix returns in the F1 22 season and this race could be the one Max Verstappen's gunning for his second world champion title.
Due to the rainy weather that caused the race to be interrupted and then resumed after a lengthy delay, the Japanese Grand Prix became a timed race, an all-out blitz play for the drivers in the wet, including Verstappen, who is gunning for the world champion title for sure.

At long last, Max Verstappen wins the Japanese Grand Prix and he's now a two-time Formula 1 world champion. Sergio Perez was promoted to 2nd place after Charles Leclerc was penalized for cutting the chicane at the end, dropping the Ferrari driver to 3rd.
Max Verstappen has claimed his second world championship title but the F1 22 season is far from over as the next race will be the Aramco United States Grand Prix at COTA this October 23rd.
