This year's Bathurst 1000 roars back to life with numerous on-track disasters that occurred from start to finish, causing a total of 8 safety cars triggered, 6 DNFs, and a 1.1-second gap between the leader. It truly is the Bathurst 1000 that rocked the motoring world.
With Cam Waters ruining Holden's farewell podium sweep as his Ford Mustang racer swooped and finished in third, Shane Van Gisbergen penned Holden's final chapter in Bathurst with a win, 1.1 seconds ahead of Chaz Mostert. a 1-2 finish for Holden's final Bathurst 1000 campaign.
This is the end of the Bathurst 1000 but with only two races left this season, there's more work to be done so the next event will be the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 this October 28-30, 2022.
