Shane Van Gisbergen made headlines in the streets of Surfers Paradise as not only he swept the entire race weekend but clinched his third Repco Supercars Championship title. Not only that, his recent win gave the Red Bull AMPOL team the second team champions title it deserves.
For a Kiwi driver piloting the Holden Commodore supercar for the final time, looks like SVG managed to pen the final story for Holden's Supercars history spectacularly on Australian soil.
SVG is now a three-time Supercars champion but the Repco Supercars Championship has one final race of the season; it's the VALO Adelaide 500 this December 1-4. Don't miss it.
