The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs continue in Talladega Superspeedway with the YellaWood 500 and this playoffs race is where fans are hoping the streak of non-playoff winners ends here because it's time to get serious.
As the green flag waved, the action in Talladega is on. The first stage saw "the big one" occurred when multiple cars got involved in a massive mess, with the drivers of the #21 and #23 cars getting evaluated and released from the infield care center. With Ryan Blaney winning Stage 1, there's more trouble in Stage 2 with the #20 going for a slide entering pit road and getting slapped with a speeding penalty. With Chase Elliott winning Stage 2, the finale means serious business.
