Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in UK history for seven decades, passed away at the age of 96. Buckingham Palace confirmed her death at Balmoral. Her eldest son will take over the throne as King Charles III.

- Britain's new PM Liz Truss described Queen Elizabeth II as the rock that modern Britain was built. Speaking in Downing Street, she said the Queen became the spirit of the country and that spirit will endure. All six living former prime ministers sent their condolences.

- Leaders from the Commonwealth have expressed their gratitude to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

- North Korea's national assembly passed the law that officially made the country a nuclear weapon state and there will be no negotiations for denuclearization. With this law, its nuclear status is irreversible, and the reclusive state could conduct its first nuclear test in five years.

- The US Justice Department will appeal against a federal judge's decision to appoint an independent official to review records seized by the FBI from Donald Trump's Florida home.

- Jeep showcased electric concepts such as the first-ever Recon, which will hit North America this 2024, as well as the Wagoneer S Concept, which previews a flagship full-size electric SUV.
