The F1 22 season continues in Zandvoort for the Heineken Dutch Grand Prix and Max Verstappen is still continuing his winning spree in his homeland.
As the lights went off, the action in Holland is on and Verstappen is charging to the lead while Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, and Lewis Hamilton are hunting him. With one lap down, Kevin Magnussen bumped the barriers but went back fighting. On Lap 15, Carlos Sainz is having trouble in the pits while Leclerc pits first on Lap 18 and followed by Verstappen on the next lap. 20 laps have passed and Hamilton's in the lead but Verstappen is hunting down the two Mercedes drivers.
Midway through the race, Verstappen leads but he's pitting again and, as it stands, he would come out behind Hamilton. Come Lap 45, here's trouble for Yuki Tsunoda as his tire troubles triggered a Safety Car. As the race restarts on Lap 49, Verstappen leads by 13 seconds from Hamilton, and at Lap 54, the gap between them is closing. Lap 55 saw Valtteri Bottas pull up just before Turn 1 and triggered a Safety Car again.
With 12 laps to go and the race restarted, Hamilton is in the lead but that doesn't stop Verstappen from crunching him down to the lead and as the end draws near, George Russell overtook Hamilton and moved up to 2nd place.
